I had my I-751 Good faith waiver interview ( No RFE ) in mid of September this year. I had filed another waiver based on abuse too.
The officer took my green card ,D L, and passport. Then he started asking me questions and updating his I-751 Checklist. The Questions he asked were like :
who do u live with when did u get married & date of divorce when did u come to USA have you ever been married b4 & your ex husband have you got any child & Him any other marriage Where are you working
what lead to divorce
At last he asked if i have filed another petition, I said yes. He asked me to either merge both of them or let him take decision on the first file. I requested him to merge both the files.
He withdrew the other independent abuse petition and merged it into the good faith one.
At the last he said he will give me decision in 3 to 4 weeks. It's been already a month no decision.
Will you pls help me in understanding is the officer suspicious about anything or it's just a normal time frame. The officer did not gave me any hard time. I felt it more like formal interview but cannot judge the officer.
I would appreciate your responses who has gone thru such kind of experience.
