Hello everyone,
First time post here! Please be nice :-)
Here is the short background: My daughter, petitioned me but not my husband because my minor daughter (they are in Philippines) needs a parent around as she still is still studying. I am petitioning for my husband but did not apply for my minor daughter because I was told that she will eventually be included in the process once visa for my husband will be available by submitting a visa request to the USCIS by him. Please correct me if I am understanding it wrong. Btw, I am a green card holder.
Now I have a dilemma, NVC just emailed informing me that they received the petition but visa is not available at this time and not eligible for further processing. I am not sure what does it mean. Priority date is May 23, 2014.
My questions are:
1. Do I need to send a separate petition for my 17yr old daughter?
2. Should I worry about the NVC letter? Does it mean my petition has been denied?
3. My husband is undergoing dialysis once a week. Should I inform USCIS about the situation to expedite the process?
Please help.
Thank you all.
