    Congratulations, MaxG!

And, there is nothing to worry, Klitt3rJ.

As yo can see from my timeline below, it took a day or two longer for my notification to arrive, and it was even longer for others. One or two days is nothing compared to the long anticipated gap between NOA1 and  NOA2 that still awaits us.

    01/03 - I-129F package sent via FedEx
01/04 - I-129F package received at USCIS Lewisville, TX facility
    01/11 - $535 check cashed
01/12 - NOA1 - e-mail and text message stating that the case has been accepted and routed to California Service Center

Yes.  It take quite a bit of time between NOA1 to NOA2.

  2. If I remembered right, you should able to send the copy of confirmation by emailing yourself. Don't close after submitting, you should click on "emailing yourself".

Hi can I ask you one more thing?

The DS160 if she clicks the final page to confirm, can I open it here to view the confirmation page? Or does she need to print the confirmation page immediately? I am asking because she has no printer at home, and cannot print to pdf. So I would open it and print to pdf, and email it to her so she can print it elsewhere.

  3. Submit DS160 after you double check. 4 things you need to send them back: the top page of this packet(with handwritten GUZ number), confirmation of DS160, 2 of her photo(2"x2" writing GUZ# on the back) and the copy of the main page of her Chinese passport.

While you are waiting, you might want to setup account in http://www.ustraveldocs.com

Following the instructions, you should able to get cgi# for interview payment. Go bank or ATM to pay with cgi#.

    Best of luck

    She got the packet!

Now we are just doing the DS160 I guess, then I will pay the fees and schedule the interview.

  4. My fiancée just received letter from Guangzhou. Your fiancée should receive it today or Monday. Keep her phone with her. Ems will call her.

    Hello,

I just realized that the address I have for my fiancee's mailing address in China is incomplete, not enough for anything to be delivered. The case is ready at the consulate in Guangzhou, ready to schedule our interview, but she has not received her packet yet.

The complete address is on the place of residence, and on the address history section of the application. Is there any chance they would notice this and use this to get the entire mailing address?

I tried to call the consulate in Guangzhou like 10 times and it just sounds like someone hangs up the phone.

What do I need to do? What is the best number to call?

I am a little stressed out now...

    Thanks buddies

Hello, I would like to say I appriciate any support that could be offered.......

I received the RFE in the mail and it stated that we need to provide further evidence that my fiance's divorce was final. She got divorced in 2008 and we sent in a divorce Nisi which said that it would final after a period of 90 days. But the RFE stated we must submit a FINAL divorce decree. My fiance has contacted the Hong Kong goverment and they said they dont issues those and that the Nisi would be the final document. So kind of stumped as to what our next move in. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appriciated! Thanks!

  6. I had the same things too. It means they will send the letter to the beneficiary soon. After recieved the letter, fill and send the DS-160. Then, you will recieve a email and ready to pay for interview fee.

Hi, I am not sure where to look, I went to CEAC and put my case number and this is what it said in the popup:

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

Is this what you were looking for?

What is next for me? Does this mean the consulate has our application?

Are they going to schedule the interview for me or can I pick the interview date? I am not sure what to do next...

  7. What's her birth year?

    Hi everyone,

I read some posts here about obtaining Chinese birth certificate. I noticed many people said they can get one by going to the hukou register office.

However, my 'hukou' is cancelled when I moved to Hong Kong when I was 6.

I asked my mother go back to the hospital I was born and see if they could give her anything. But all she got is a small paper saying 'She gave birth to a boy on that day'.

The only thing to show our relationship is her divorce certificate, which mentioned my name as her child.

Is there way I can still get my birth certificate?

    Thanks! :)
