awe787 got a reaction from msmontader in Question regarding J1 Visa Waiver and Change/Adjustment of Status
A lot of USAID and Fulbright funding recipients have been denied. Also one can be denied if DOS medical review division determines that medical condition of the USC can be well taken care of in the J-1 visa holder’s native country. However, you have competed the biggest hurdle of your life; getting USCIS determine you have a hardship case. I would say, if you do not have any of the above issues there is 99% chance of approval at this point.

Is impatient the word? Maybe... But I feel it is being busy with and about YOUR life. I have been in and out of the interview room, no decision made still. Called the 800 line multiple times and they tell me to wait; that everything looks good from their end. Well it's been 3 weeks or so post interview still no word, but the IO gave me some reasons that is likely to cause a delay in my case. Instead of an interview letter, I would have preferred another detailed RFE letter. It was in the interview I found out that the Divorce decree we sent to USCIS was unacceptable; well we got what the IO asked us to get but there's no RFE insight to reply to and I have an appointment next Tuesday in the same building cause of my EAD card, I just pray and hope that they will take these other documents from me to settle my case. Also I got a reply to my service request inquiry this morning from the USCIS office where I had my interview and it says my case is still pending and to expect a decision within 90days from now.
So, it is okay to be concerned and check every time your guts or feelings as you to; you surely have got nothing to lose when you ask questions. if you don't get any response from the Office concerning your case and you feel like its been a while; spread the word... knock on doors... get the phones ringing... be busy like the mail man you are expecting to see.
One more thing... Go through your forms and documents over and over again before you submit them.
I wish us all the best.

I said the same thing before . I don't see anything wrong with getting frustrated, I mean this is an open forum right? Where ppl can express themselves. Is not like we are not glad that ppl are getting approved we are just saying is kinda frustrating not to get an answer as well. I really don't see nothing wrong with it. We are just trying to express our experiences for people who just like us are waiting as well. We knew it was gonna take 90 days or more but again, we are just expressing our experiences not need to be attacking each other. I wish everybody the best of luck and quick answers so we can all be in the same page very soon!

Thank you very much. So I guess you are lucky! My Receive Date is March 3rd I just hope to hear something tomorrow.
    This is the waiting game.
    Enjoy your EAD!!
I really think the waiting for interview feels like nothing with EAD on hands.
EAD means being able to work, have SSN, drivers license which is the normal life.
I see you did not file I-131 Advance Parole so that might be reason I did not get approved yet.

I called uscis on the double bio dates and i was asked to ignore the second notice especially since i have had the fingerprint done. Also checked on my status today and i have my i485 ready to be scheduled for an interview! i130 still has the same case was received status though. Is this ok...? Goodluck to us all.

As I said, it's information gleaned from reading this forum. I tend not to discount people's real-life experiences. That's the purpose of VJ.com, to learn from other individuals' experiences.

You should've submitted form I-693 with your original AOS package. But like it says in the letter you can provide it later: bring it with you on your interview or send it to them, if you get a RFE.
HOWEVER since you are adjusting from B1/B2 visa you will definitely have to have an interview, there is no interview waiver for this type of visa. So I'd say consider this letter from them as a heads up, they just wanted you to know that you should get this form in general.

I hope you have a nice day too. I am sure you have posted in a forum that is not k-1 to help someone out. Posting here does not mean that I feel people here are not well informed. but with that said. I am not here to seek trouble. Good luck everyone.

Hello...am a non-k1 adjust and I have posted in this forum once in while. Whenever I see someone needs help and could use my input, I will do so. And that is the whole point of VJ. AOS process can be very stressful and helping each other out can be useful. I really do not see a problem in helping someone out.

Thank you! Actually today i just woke up with my case updated. My EAD card is being produced! The date is April 26, only 2 days after my biometrics!! My case is moving really fast. But my husband, the petitioner, also got a biometrics letter since our case falls under the Adam Walsh Act review...it's going to be a tough process.Good luck to everyone!

Well RFE stops the time counter for AOS and EAD and AP. If it is an RFE for initial evidence then it resets your time to zero. You will have to wait and see what does your RFE say
Having said that, this is not the right forum to post your question. This forum is only for March filers who are tracking their progress and not everyone member looks at it, you are better off posting this question in the following main forums since every member would be looking at that.

Since your visa says K-3, so you will get better help in the first one.
