  1. Hi folks,

    I-864 form. Part 6. Question 19 (a - c) has the following instructions:

"My total income (adjusted gross income on Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 1040EZ) as reported on my Federal income tax returns for the most recent three years was:"

I never filled out a 1040EZ, I only filled out 1040. Is this just a bug with the I-864? Do I ignore the fact that it called out EZ?

    Cheers,

    Aaron

  2. Hi all,

I am starting to preemptively fill out the I-864.

Part 2 Question 2 asks for the Mailing Address of the Principal Immigrant. I am filling out the form electronically and it does not allow changing the text inside the Country textbox. It is locked to "USA". The Principal Immigrant resides in Australia. I was under the impression I was supposed to put that address in there but now am questioning that.

    Can anyone share insight here?

    Cheers,

    Aaron

  3. I will shortly be a US citizen and will be petitioning for my parents (from Australia) to become permanent residents.

After perusing these forums and other sites I feel like I am missing something with the petition process.

According to visapro.com the processing time for the I-130 is 5 months. Am I right to say there is more to the process after the i-130 processing? Whats a more realistic time frame from Priority Date to parents acquiring their entry visas?

  4. Short version of my situation before I get to my question:

    * I'm a green-card holder currently going through naturalization (citizenship ETA is December)
    * Once a citizen I will submit I-130's for my parents

    * My unmarried, older-than-21 brother also wants to join us. Trying to figure out the fastest way to get him over here.

So I am confused at what the processing times are for a green-card holder to petition an unmarried son. When I look at the service centers (https://www.visapro.com/California-Service-Center.asp) all of them say 5 months with the exception of Vermont which is 2 years. When petitioning for a sibling as a citizen (as would be the case for me to petition my brother) the times are much longer so I figured it would be better bet to let my parents petition him after they arrive. Sounded good until I found this link: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/visa-bulletin-predictions-family-sponsored.php. It indicates that my parents petitioning my brother (FB2b) would be around 7 years!!! Am I missing something here? Why does this bulletin data conflict with the processing times on visapro.com ?
