  1. No movement for us either. Still hoping for an interview in April or May. Fingers crossed.

i can confirm that, baltimore maryland is still on june 24, i just spoke to uscis

its annoying but i dont know about other states i cant get a drivers licence because my case is pending.

how am i meant to get a decent job where i have to drive to if i cant drive?

is it the same for a lot of you out there?

were you guys able to get drivers licences with your ead card?

  2. Did you arrive on a K1 visa? If not you probably won't get this waiver. It takes up to a year to receive Greencard of you get one. If you're a different visa then you'll more than likely get an interview so you'll get your Greencard faster if you're approved anyway.

no i didnt come in through k1 vvisa, so i guess i dont get that...

seems people with k1 visa dont get rfe but people with other visa types get rfe..

  3. i got an rfe on the 9th of december 2014 which i responded to. ( i was told that my wife didnt earn enough to support she and I, which is strange because when i checked the poverty limit she passed it it by far, well my mum in law filled affidavit of support form which we submitted) the case was updated like the next day on the website.

i checked yesterday and my ead has been approved and would be mailed to me.

so i am waiting for that. i am so eager.

is there anyone filing from maryland? i would like to compare stats with the person.

i would like to know how long it would take before i get an interview set up or something.

  4. hello

so i got rfe which said my wife didnt meet the required amount she needed to be earning even though she did. her parents are in the process of getting their tax papers sent to me so we could use them as support for affidavit to get it moving.

now i have another question, we are planning to do a church wedding on july 18 and we would love to invite my folks to come for the wedding even though my siblings may find it hard. but i am skeptical about the whole bit cause it would mean i would have to send an invitation to them and i am still an immigrant. what would be the best option to navigate this?

also my wife is pregnant and she wants my mum to come when she gives birth.

i am from nigeria. so my folks are coming from nigeria

  5. We filed our documents on 10/31/14 and got our txts on 11/7/14. We have yet to get our NOA1 documents or biometrics in the mail yet. I hope we get them in a couple of days.

    have you received them now?

i filled on 10-30-2014 and i just got my email notification, so i am waiting on the hard copies now.. says i should give them 7-10 days.

It took several of us 3-4 weeks before we heard anything. Just hang tight until 30 days then call them. I'm sure you will hear something soon, it seems to take them a long time to send out NOA1 notifications.

i got my email notification last night. hopefully i get hard copies soon.

  6. so i mailed my package to uscis October 30th but i keep getting scared that i would get rfe for affidavit of support.

firstly, last here my wife didnt make up to the required amount but this here about 3 months ago she got a better job and is making up to that... but here is the catch i sent in the transcript for the last 3 years but i forgot to include her present pay stub.

if i get rfe would it affect the process for my EAD as i really need so i can start working.

  7. hello

please i would need some help.

i have been married to my wife for 3 months now and we are ready to file for my change of status from a M1 visa.

i have all my documents ready but i need help with writing the cover letter and exactly how i am meant to package it and send to the immigration office. please any help would be appreciated. thank you.

PS: we just moved into our own apartment for about a month now, so we have lease agreement to show that we stay together, bank account statement with our names and address. cable bill for one month, medical insurance with both our names on it and some pictures. is that enough to show that we are bonified married couples? (some of the pictures is our marriage ceremony with her parents in it.)
