Right, but only if one was issued. When we login to get it, the only i94 that shows up is the one from back when she entered as a b1
-
I am wondering if it is possible that there is some mistake on the i-485, and the check rejection is the most convenient that they have.
Does anybody know the answer to:
1. What should go in the I-94 number field? My wife entered as a visitor from canada, so she does not have an I-94 for that entry. Previously she entered as a b1, and was issued an i94 number for that.
2. What goes in the expires field? Assuming that I-94 stays blank like I have it?
3. My wife is both a Mexcan and Canadian Citizen. In Country of Citizenship/Nationality I put "Mexico/Canada" was that correct, Or should I just pick one?
4. Should current USCIS status be "Visitor"
-
Yes, my wife is. I doubt that it is birthdate related since the printed her correct birthdate on the regection notice.
I did, however check all the forms, the birthdate is correct.
Also called the USCIS number given on the form. After being transfered to 2 different officers, they both said they have no idea what may be wrong. All they can see is that it was rejected.

Got the packet back again today. Same problem "The check amount is incorrect or has not been provided". Only difference is this time it says Please note: The biometrics services fee is not required for I-485 applicants age 13 or younger. The biometrics services fee is not required for i485 applicants age 79 or older.

I did not receive any txt/email notification, on my denied applications
-
Correct, my checks have my name and address, but no phone number.
Tracking shows that my packet gets delivered today, so I should find out if they accept it soon.
-
No they were 2 new checks.
I have already written an additional 2 new checks, with print handwriting, out of a new bank account...so we will see what happens this time.
-
First denial was 19 days. Second one was 15 days.
-
I wonder if they maybe cannot read cursive writing?

It came back again. Same problem. "The check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided".
This time I cannot find any problems with the checks...
Does anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks, I dated the check and sent it back. Can't believe I made such a simple stupid mistake...

My wife and I filed for AOS, just got a denial back today because. "The check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided".
I noticed that I forgot to date my check...I'm assuming that is the problem....
However are the following amounts correct, and the total amount I should be sending?
I 130 Filing fee $420
I 485 Filing fee $1070
-
I recieved it back today, because my check amount is incorrect or not provided...
-
No my check was not cashed.

My wife and I filed for adjustment of status. We mailed the packet to the Chicago PO Box 4/16/15. Tracking shows it was delivered 4/18/15. We have not gotten any e-notification, or any confirmation that they recieved it. Is this amount of time normal...or did they loose it, without opening it?

One more question If we were to get married in canada, and she would cometo the US visit for say maybe a month while the cr1 is being filed. If she ended up staying longer than what she told the border agent at the time of crossing, but less than 6 months. Would that be concidered fraud that might cause a problem in the cr1 process?
-
If we were to file for a k1, changing our plans to a US wedding etc. But later changed our mind back to a Cr1 are there any problems with simply abandoning the k1?
-
Is there likely to be any problems convincing border officers that it is only a visit, and she will leave after 6 months? If so what documentation would help?
-
I would like some advice on what is the best method of proceeding.
My girlfriend and I would like to get married spring - summer of 2015. I am a US citizen, and she is a canadian (and mexican). At the time of our marriage she would like to move to the US. We would like to have our wedding in Canada (not possible with a k1?), our honeymoon would also have to be in the US. Also I am worried that filing a k1 might make it more complicated for her to cross the border before then. Me living in Canda for a year while a k3 is processed might also be a possibility, although not a preference. Is it possible for her to "visit" me for 6 months, while the k3 is being processed? The k3 would take longer than that to process, so she would have to go back to canada after that, maybe I could visit canada for 6 months after that.
I would appriciate any thoughts you might have.
Denied incorrect check amount.

Update. I got 8 acceptance confirmation emails today. I still don't know what I really did different on this packet that I mailed in, other than it was the 4th try. And I put a long letter on top saying that it was the 4th time that it was being sent in and requesting that they give an actual discription of what might be wrong witth it.
