  1. Hello VJ,

Our interview was approve February 23. On the I-130 petition prior attorney has chosen for ssn to be mailed. The $165 for green card was paid March 2 and my husband enter US on March 6. Does any one know how long before we get green card and should we wait for ssn in mail or go to office?? I'm afraid they mail ssn and then we go and are given 2 different numbers. Pls help if anyone knows the part to this process.

  2. Please help. I'm confused as to who schedules the interview. My CEAC status says "ready" but I've read conflicting information regarding interview scheduling in DR. Some say you schedule the website says the consulate in DR will schedule. Need information as to what I should do next. Your help will be gratis appreciated Vj family[/quote

Hi, there is new system vac that allow you to schedule your interview date its new so it depends on NVC if they already assign a date. In my case NVC had not assign date so once it show ready on ceac I called embassy since the system was acting up and on that call they allow me to choose interview and fingerprinting date. Then email me the appt confirmation.

  3. Hello Guys,

We had our immigrant visa interview at the US Consulate in Santo Domingo on Feb 19th and we were approved (yay).

My question is: How is the visa/passport delivery working for everyone?

It's been 13 days since our interview and no visa has been issued as of today.

    Thoughts?

We had our interview on February 23 and we got the email yesterday passport was ready for pick up. My husband went and no issues. So it took a week. Try calling embassy or emailing passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com they respond right away on it.

  4. Once your status says "ready" follow the above instructions from Perez2012. Do not wait because you will never receive anything, the system has changed you must be proactive and schedule everything yourself. Good luck!

Omg! Yes Ty for the correction it must say "ready" which will show after " in transit". Thank you AverysMom

  5. I heard different i heard nvc nows schredules them my case still says at NVC when would i be able to schredule it ?? Where ? How?

Once your case shows in transit you create a profile on ustraveldocs and can schedule both your vac( fingerprinting) and interview date. If for some reason the web page states case Id not found call them 703-988-3410 and they will schedule you get to choose the dates and time. Then like 10 mins after you will receive the interview letter with instructions via email.

  6. you selected to pick it up at a location close to you. please let us know how long that took after pick up thanks.[/quot

Ok I will keep you posted.

  7. I have questiondid you schedule your interview online or waiting for it in the mail? My fiancé went to Embassy in DR, they say they will mail interview date..I thought you could do it online.can you help with this question. I am confused which step to take after receiving status "READY" on ceac. thanks for you help

Hi, yes you can schedule the interview on line and fingerprinting you will need to create a profile on ustraveldocs Dominican republic. Or call (703)988-3410 I had to call because the the website would give me a message case id not found. They allow you to choose dates too.
  8. Hello VJ,

My husband was aprrove on 2/23 for CR1 visa and was given approval sheet where indicates visa can be picked up in 10 days. The same day in ceac show Administrative Processing and on ustraveldocs shows us embassy still has your passport. I just call and rep is talking about you have to wait 60 days for visa to be issue. What??? I argue that ceac state 2 business days and the sheet he has states 10 days. She put me on hold comes back and state to wait 10 days. Ok what is it? Do they even know what they say? Anyone here can give a real time frame to pick up passport etc approve by embassy in Dominican Republic?

  9. Did you get any news about your file? Did it end up reaching the embassy yet? Im in the same situation i got the exact same email when my case was expedited 2 weeks ago but now they can't tell me what happens from here now that i have a case number. I have no idea whether to send papers to NVC or wait to see if my file gets shipped out to Sydney consulate

Hi, yes it did it took 3 days after nvc send case for embassy to receive. On ceac it then showed ready. Then I called embassy with schedule my husband vac (fingerprints) and interview. On the appt letter it indicated what to bring to interview.
