Well, that makes things easy! Just bring what they ask for.
Thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear.
Have a Happy Easter
-
Originals of things you sent with your application.
Well that's the thing, all that was required was money, passport pics and the form. I sent no additional information other than those three as it was not marriage based.
-
The time is finally coming for my interview (May) and I didn't know if I need to take documents other than ID's and photocopies of them as stated on the interview letter. Do I need to take any other evidence, since I did not apply based on Marriage? Thanks for the help!
-
A couple we know here in DFW tried to do a walk in there 5 days before the scheduled date and they were told they dont allow walk ins.
Thank you for the information!...I tried looking for a phone number to call them, but no such thing seems to exist.
-
Does anyone know if it is possible to "walk in" in Dallas for Biometrics, prior to the scheduled appointment date?

After almost exactly 12 months, transfered from TSC to VSC in April 2008, I just got the email that I have been approved. Now on to my citizenship. After having to wait 12 months for an approval, I think I'll make the USCIS wait a few years before I supply them with more money. Maybe by then they will have things moving faster.
-
I mailed my I-751 to TSC on the first of April, they received it on the 3rd and cashed the check immediatly. I received my Bio appointment letter two weeks ago for an April 30th appointment. The problem is my case was transfered to VSC and I am wondering how long it will take to receive my extension letter as nothing has arrived. I thought that letter usually came first?
According to the USCIS website they mailed me a letter about the transfer, however I have not received that either. Is this normal?
-
I mailed my I-751 package to the Texas Service center on Tuesday April 1st, they received it on Thursday the 3rd and the money was out of my account this morning. They had received my package on the 3rd and cashed the check the same day. Must have been a big pot of coffee on Thursday!!

Wow, I must say I sure was glad to see my box of paperwork leave (all 10 pounds of it)with the USPS man today....Its like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. My husband complained the whole time we were putting it together that we were sending way too many personal documents, but I guess its what they want, hopefully!
Heres the cover letter that we sent( and the documents to go with this):

I am getting ready to file to I-751 and am working on my package to send off this month. I am starting to wonder if its possible to send them too many documents as evidence. I like to keep everything and am having a hard time limiting what I put in the package, such as entire phone bills for the past 2 yrs showing all of the phone calls between us, etc. Has anyone else had this problem?
-

Super awesome experience! Arrived right at 9am, waited until scheduled interview time which was 9:30 and was called in within minutes. Interviewer was nice and humorous, I was only asked if my maiden name was the other name listed, if I had immigrated through my husband (used the 5 year rule for citizenship though, was asked about the times I had been arrested (which I replied that I had never been arrested, his response was "I believe you Miss")asked if I had ever told anyone I was a US Citizen (answer was no of course) and then we proceeded into the super easy test, cant remember the questions that I was asked, but got the first six right and we ended there. The oath ceremony form had already been filled out before I entered the room, and he passed it to me and told me I could come back at 1 for the ceremony. Yahoooo!!! Ceremony was wonderful and I became an American Citizen around 2PM yesterday! The Lee Greenwood song makes me cry everytime...
