  1. Hello everyone, just want to update you guys, yesterday I had my interview and the consul said that "everything looks okay" after that we proceed to the releasing area, the releasing officer just gave us the waiver on joining the service and explained the consequences we will face if I will not register within 30 days and told us to wait for the delivery of the passport.. does that mean we're good to go??

  2. Why is your petition approval date 20 years after the petition was filed? Are you sure about that? If the petition was filed on Feb 2, 1991 it would make more sense if the approval date is April 17, 1991.

If we use April 17, 1991 as the petition approval date your CSPA age is 22 years, 7 mos. and 24 days which means you have already aged out. My nephew was interviewed last month (Nov. 24) and denied visa because his CSPA age is 22 years and 3 months. He was told to apply for a waiver which costs $585 without a lawyer. We still don't know if it's worth pursuing it because there is no guarantee the waiver will be approved (and if it is the appropriate course of action for his case). Hiring a lawyer will cost at least $4000 here in the US.

Good luck with your interview. It is very infuriating to go through all the application process, payment of fees ($500+), medical and interview only to be denied because you have aged out, which they should already have considered before they scheduled your interview.

I'm confused with the date, September 14, 2011 we got a letter from NVC that they received our documents, isn't that the approval date or the Visa became available??

  3. Hi I just want to know.. I'm 23 y/o right now.. Priority date of my father was Feb, 2, 1991.. I don't know what's the meaning of case creation date but it was dated April 17, 1991.. Petition got approved last September 14, 2011 .. We received an interview letter August 12, 2014 to our surprise I was still included even if i'm 22 that time.. BTW.. Oct. 5, 1991 was my birthday.. our scheduled interview was rescheduled to January 5, 2014.. I just want to know the odds i'm facing.. so that I can prepare for the worst..

  6. OK.

IF his is negative all will be good, but if he is positive he will have to complete 6 months of DOT, and you will need to complete your vaccinations and get your visa.

Thanks for the info... we can't proceed to the interview coz my father was the main person being petitioned we're just his dependents...

im aware of the eligibility of the medical ... im just scared of the circumstances of the stamp "Medical on Process proceed to Counter A"..

  7. Glad things went so well for you. Sometimes things fall into place well and you get done in one day. Great to see they had all the shots. Many applicants are told that certain shots are not in stock and you have to come back for them.

MMR sometimes brings side effects for the first 2 to 3 days, so if you get a fever or a cough, don't worry about it. Those are the side effects, and they will pass shortly.

Some vaccinations burn going in. Sorry it happened to you. I hear mostly that Tdap burns, but my wife felt nothing when she got hers.

Agent Zero, like Hank said there is no advantage to delaying your vaccines. Your six month time limit to get to the US started yesterday anyway. If you let it expire you will need a whole new exam.

  8. It''

You would do better to start a new topic with your questions, rather than jump into a 2 year old topic.

Question I have, is why do you want to wait on your vaccinations? It matters not when you get them, you medical is still limited to the date you started (which limits your visa eligibility), no matter what happens with your father.

They did the stamp because you are delaying the vaccinations, this way when you finally come back for vaccinations they will know why things were delayed.

it's because we're waiting for the culture result ... My father wants us to be vaccinated after we see the result..

  9. Hello guys!

I am writing this experience to further help others who are about to take theirs in the next few days or months. Visa journey has really helped me and my fiance in finding out the proper documents to collate, next steps to take and queries that bothers us at times. Here's our experience or my experience (being petitioned) in St. Lukes Medical:

    Medical Requirements:

Photocopy of Passport biodata (I had 3 copies with me to be sure)

    2x2 Photos 4pcs

Visa interview appointment letter from the embassy or NVC

2 copies of appointment letter/instruction letter (I had 3 copies with me to be sure)

    Day 1 Medical:

    6:30am - Went in

    7:00am - Biometrics

7:30am - Payment of medical at 3rd floor

7:45am - Blood/pregnancy test (Make sure you remember your first menstrual period and your last day of menstrual perioud. It will be asked many times.)

    8:15am - X-ray

    8:50am - Immunization

    9:15am - Vital statistics

    9:30am - Physical Exam

    10:00am - DONE! :dancing:

    Day 2 of Medical: Results

I was called to come in at 7:30am but went as early as 6:00am to get parking space. Piece of advice that I wasnt able to do that I would like to tell everyone-- EAT A HEAVY BREAKFAST FOR DAY 2. My golly I waited for 8 hours to get my results! :crying:

    6:00am - Went in

6:15am - Guard stamped my receipt "Medical On Process" which means they had me go to Counter A (ground level) to surrender my receipt and wait to be called. Meaning, my results werent ready yet.

10:00am - I got called at immunization room which means I passed! YAY!!! :dancing: I got 2 vaccine shots.

10:30am - Back to Counter A. Another wait.

11:00am - I got called to sign 2 papers. Then wait again.

1:30am - Finally I got called! (I was sooo hungry by this time! The were asking us to have lunch but I didnt want to risk not hearing my name be called.) Got my passport, vaccination records that you'll be bringing with you and a CD which you cant open. You also need to bring that too.

Day 2 was harsh but everything was worth it.

Good luck to those who are taking theirs! :goofy:

I had the same stamp "Medical On Process"... but I actually didn't go to Counter A because I just have to ask the immunization if I can reschedule the vaccination because of my father's sputum and they said Yes after that I went home... does that stamp means good?

  10. Something is not clear to me... What does "Medical Record On Process" stamp means??? Im already done with all the exams, After the immunization interview they instructed me to checkout. After checking out they asked me to come back the next day for the vaccines. I came back but I had to tell them that I needed to take those vaccines together with my father because he was rescheduled due to Sputum Test.. They stamped this "Medical Record on Process".. What does this mean?? Based on what I've read here it's either for "Sputum" or "Immunization" stamp on the 2nd day?? Can you please tell me the different SLEC stamps and their corresponding meaning??

  11. You medical is valid for 6 months relating to your visa and travel to the USA. The medical over all is valid for one year.

If your father's sputum is positive (of course negative is better) he will have to complete 6 months of DOT, which is daily medications administered at SLEC. If that happens you won't be able to wait on your vaccinations and traveling with him to the USA.

but if you're already up for vaccination.. does that mean my X-Ray was cleared and in no need for sputum? I'm really praying for the best right now.. 2 months of wait is better than 6 months...

  12. Hi, We were supposed to have our interview this coming September 29, 2014. Unfortunately, my father needs to undergo the sputum test on September 30, 2014. Me and my brother after getting our X-Ray were interviewed in Immunization and ask to return the next day for the vaccination. I returned the next day and ask if we could just do the vaccination with our father together and they said yes. My question is, am I cleared for my medical exam? and for how long is it valid? Many Thanks
