You might also qualify to apply for naturalization online. My husband did that (based on 3 years), and we preferred it over sending in paper copies. Just a thought...
Where would I find the link to apply online? I saw one for reknewing the greencard but not for naturalization i would prefer to do that. Then I wpuldnt be worried that the paperwork would get lost in the mail.

Photos are required only if applying for the N400 from outside of the US. Since you reside in the US, you therefore do not need to submit photos---they will use the photo they take at your biometrics appointment for your certificate.
Thank you for this info.

So I am good as long as I have applied for renewel or naturalization before my greencard expires? I printed out the naturalization forms and filled them out. Have all my documents ready to copy . License, green card, BC, passport, SSI card. I just need to get 2 pictures to submit them.

Any particular reason you don't want to file for naturalization? At the very least, you'd save on the long run. One-time fee for filing vs paying every ten years to renew your GC. Also the restriction on travelling. Once you're a USC you don't have to worry about losing your LPR status due to breaks in residency.
I didnt know if i could apply for naturalization with my greencard expiring so soon. Also have no idea how long it takes to get citizenship. All i know is I cant lose my job over immigration.I cant afford to lose my job. This president and his actions and talk about immigration is scaring me even though I have done everything legal and right. Having my greencard expiring so soon has me so stressed out.
I just want to make sure I'm doing things right.

MY social security card doesnt say that. Its a regular one just like my american coworkers.
My green card just says permanent resident card on it.

So I came here on a k1 visa.in 2005 Married my husband within the 90 days. Adjusted status and continued to be married. We then separated in 2014. We are still married and my greencard is expiring soon. Can i reknew it if we are living separatly? Should I just let it expire and file for naturalization? Please help. I have a full time job here and my husband and I are still on decent terms.

I have been married 9 yrs came in on a K1 Visa. Married , was with him for 9 yrsI have 2 yrs left before my visa expires. Last November I found out some things my husband was doing (I wont go into specifics) I moved out and have been living on my own since then. Almost a year. We have not filed for divorce. We have remained friends. Today I received an email from the website Linkedin says someone named Lance Samuelson checked out my profile. I wouldn't normally care except I noticed his job was USIS Investigator.
This has me freaked out! AM I going to be deported becuase I left my husband?
Help!! What do I do?? Green card is expiring
