Thanks for sharing your experience. So that mean my wife can travel out of the U.S while waiting for her i-751 process as long as her GC is still valid by the time she reenter the U.S? 

I have heard recently some green card holders who on welfare had been retained at the U.S airports when they tried to reenter the U.S after their vietnam trip. I highly doubt this is false information. However, I still want to share the info with you all in case. If anyone had experienced this or know someone who had experienced this? Please share so we can have better idea how the current situation is.

I have a concern hope everyone can help. I and my wife are planning for an international trip right after I submit form i-751 for her. My question is will my wife need to wait for the NOA1 and take it with her so she can show it to the U.S custom by the time we come back the U.S. Her GC would be still valid and it will be two month away from expiration by the time we reenter the U.S. Will she be ok in that situation? My concern was raised since I heard that valid passport has to be more than 6 months from expiration and i I am not sure if the same rule will apply for GC. Really appreciate for any advice. Thanks so much. 

No it will not effect your I-130. Just ignore it. It will just be considered abandoned.

Hope someone can help me clarify my problem. The USCIS had requested me for evidence for my i-129F petition that I filed as K-3 visa along with my CR1 visa. Because the i-130 got approved first, I decide to go with CR1 visa and ignore the RFE of the i-129F. Now they send me a letter that warning me that my i-129F will be denied or abandoned. So my question is that would this decision affect my CR1 visa? or it is just a separate case by itself?

I got P4 interview letter from NVC. Can I just print out P4 letter and take it to the medical exam or I have to wait for interview instruction from U.S Embassy or Consulate? Thanks for any help!

The only cancelling and some rescheduling of intervews I have seen or heard about have been for K1's. That sbecase of the other issue the DS-160 which effects the fact they can't do security checks. You have already been security checked so no issues there.

You are so welcome. Sometimes you never know even when schwduled later than you hope you can request a earlier date and sometimes they can accommodate. You never know unless you ask. So lets just see how it goes.

But do you know if the recent technical issues affect them for scheduling interview date or just issue with visa issuance? looks like the access to online form at NVC also facing technical issues. their system has been downed for many times in a year. I don't know what wrong with them. sigh!!! anyway, thanks so much for your support!

anyone has an idea if NVC is still schedule interview for Ho Chi Minh City, VietNam? My CC on april 16 and there is people with CC on april 1st got their interview date already. Does it mean my interview date will be in august? any help please!

Thanks khanhtan. I hope so too. Wondering if they assign the interview date in order or just random. Your case completed on april 1st which is first day of april and your interview date on july 21st. It is so weird. My case completed on april 16th. So Im hope my interview date will also be in july. Praying. Haha

Hi there! p3 letters are for K1 people. So yep, your next step is to wait for your P4 interview letter from NVC. It will contain a link to all the instructions you need to prepare for your interview!

my case already completed at NVC. So now I just wait for interview letter (P4) from National Visa Center right? I got the same mail yesterday. It was dated April 16th, 2015 so I don't think they meant to send a P4 letter because I have called after that with no dice.

So did you find out why they send you that letter even thought you did not request change your email/mailing address?

If you didn't change letter its a false letter. They do send out wrong ones tie to time Just ignore it. Or you can just call them Monday and check up. Maybe they meant to send you a P4 letter.

My case already completed and been waiting for interview schedule. However, i just received a mail from nvc saying that they just updated my email/mailing address even I did not make any change with my email or mailing address. Anyone has this issue?

You both should be fine. My scan date same as yours mar 23 and i got case completed on april 16th. So yoi should get case completed by today. U can call them if you wanna to know. It takes a while for case completed to be shown on the website.

I do not want to be the bad guy here now but I just talked to NVC and got some more information (being true not guaranteed).

Rep said he didn´t get any email yet that May interviews are closed yet but he said around the 17th / 18th of a month they usually stop scheduling for the following month. He told me that - if I do not hear anything by today - the interview will mostly likely scheduled for June.

I´ll keep my fingers crossed for all of you that NVC will still throw out May interviews as many as possible today.

Has anyone try to request for early interview and what was the result? if I want to request for early interview, should I send my request email to NVC or Embassy?
