  1. Well, Things over the last few years seemed to be doing well - until this last slow year.

My spouse returned from the DR yesterday  thru Miami where he was chastised by a  DHS office for having made a copy of the Extension of his I 751. What the ?(*&**?  Can someone explain that and why it matters or why they care? He of course had the original. We have heard directly and through multiple sources that they are  JUST NOW processing Applications from August 2016. HIs went into as required in August 2017... amazing...so, it could be more than a year?

As well, and a bit more concerning is that they removed his original K1 card that was stapled into his DR passport from several yesars ago.. When he asked why they removed it  they told him " your residence has expired"

That is completely not correct - as the extension letter showed and USCIS has told us directly? Can anyone explain this and if it has significance? It bothered me quite a bit. Or is this just an exercise of ego on the part of the agent?

    BK

  2. No, the CEAC still reads Administrative Processing. The date changed.

I called the USTravelDocs, after getting an email regarding the I-134. They sent a conflicting email that said that they needed to receive this at the Consulate but that all pending paperwork had been received...OMG... who knows?

  3. Interview was Feb 3 for my other half and I. All seemed to go well. They kept his Visa.

They asked for a different for of his birth certificate. Acto InExtrata. We went to JCE, got it and took it back to the VAC center same day. Got a document receipt.

Slightly worried. Today USTRAVELDOCS changed from Passport is still at Consulate to NOTHING. None of the areas are filled in. The operators can tell me nothing except it is still at the Embassy. CEAC says " Administrative Processing"

A little concerned the docs made it from VAC to the embassy file...and / or how long that may take in Caribe time.

We are planning to take my elderly Father, 76 and take care of him at home. I need the other part of our family ASAP.

Any experiences from those with Santo Domingo dealings? any experiences with blank page syndrome?

  4. Hello ALL,

Had our interview today in Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep with my partner.

We were both on high anxiety of course.

We ran into once glitch( a type of birth document special to here) we did not have.

So - the question is....interview went well, not a lot of questions, nice consular woman...

She processed papers, kept my partners passport. She told us what the one document needed was - and where to deliver it( we did it today, same day). And she said, Felicidades( Congratulations!)

So - would you say it is approved?

And - I was not asked for the I 134 I had ready or tax docs or anything....they asked what I did for a living and where...

  5. We are almost there but I am a little lost. Our Visa app went to the Santo Domingo on 19 Dec. I heard nothing from anyone. NO letter.. Nothing. I called and found out early week it was approved. I called the US Embassy and the young woman sent me to a website that did not look right $$$$$$$$$$$$.com. It looked like some company website and not quite a US website. It seemed like something I had already done before except paying the extra $265 fee.

I found a link to the page for DS 160. I completed it and received confirmation( in Spanish). So...do I go back to the DOS website? It says from the other site that I can only pay the money at Banco Popular there? and not online by card? Should I book a ticket and just go down there and be doing the rest there or?

HELP!...I thought I was almost to the easy stretch...and got derailed.

  6. Hi All,

From a previous post, "I-129 RFE" I finally received it. Originally sent September 9 - post office sent back. Then recent and now..."Submit evidence from the Beneficiary that he plans tomarry the petitioner..."

I thought I read all your posts and details in great length. We submitted a letter explaining how we met, our intent to marry. We wrote, "making preparations for a small wedding service – at a big location. We want the event to be unique and convenient to my Father, his U.S. cousins and friends most of whom are all in the Northeast U.S... We acknowledge the legal requirements and will be married in the first 90 days after Nelson’s legal acceptance and entry into the United States. We will meet the requirement with marriage by a Justice of the Peace in the City of New York or in the City of Boston, MA, to later be followed by a more special ceremony. "

I had it Notarized in the Dom Rep by a Notario and my signature Notarized at Chase Bank.

Not good enough or? seperate letters or? What did I miss...I want to get this back to them and concerned if it requires translations, faxes, fedexes etc...Dec 7 is the cut off...

    Any thoughts appreciated...

  7. THANKS to ALL.... I called USCIS today. Absolutely useless. There is no number for any processing center. Neither the call center or even a Tier 2 person knows what was in the letter...only the letter knows. So, now I am turning around and heading back to take care of it. Cannot take a chance on losing it or delays that may drag on...

Guess I will find out soon...

  8. So, I was anxious and thinking all was moving well

Apr 26, 2014 Documents filed at Lewisville TX lockbox

Aug 9, 2014 Account transferred Tx to CA

Sept 9.2014 Receive Notice Case was transferred on August 11 back to TX

    and then BAM!!

Sept 16 -"we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case"

Called on Sept 17 and Tier 2 officer showed no information having been uploaded about the letter or what the RFE contained

I am en route to my partner in the DR...and have no way to receive mail or respond. Is it true that RFE are a good sign? or is this a ominous roadblock? I was concerned when case got move around the country - but I understand that is kinda normal.

    All inputs are appreciated.
