I am sorry. Do you mean a total of 12 months?
According to her, her Pinoy husband came in to the states in 7 months from the date of filing.... They married in the Philippines

THank you so much for your kind info. A co-worker filed the same documents I-130 and G-325 for her Phillippine husband and it took around 6-7 months. I checked visa journey site and it seems around a year?? What explains this big difference?

Interesting and thanks for advice. Then if CR1 sounds better for people in our situation then why do people file the I-129 in alternative process you describe?

Now I am confused. Do I file a I-130 with G325A or a I-130 with I-129F??
again we married in Philippines in May of this year. I thought I had to file a I-130 with g325a. the 325a is filed by each of us.
She has no kids. thanks for explaining to me my new confusion.

I would not put even partial onus on the workers who are "meek." Saudi is a country where beheadings are weekly norms, women are 3 class citizens, and guest workers hardly figure in the structure. I would put more of an onus on world govt's such as the U.S. which has so clearly supported the house of Saud for decades.

.? I can't believe those stories are true. Locking up someone's passport? Seems like a human rights violation.
do you have any advice on my question?

Hello, I am a U.S. Registered Nurse living in Texas. I married my Philippina wife in May 2014. She was on her one month vacation from Riyadh Saudi Arabia where she works as a Registered Nurse. She has a contract that finishes in June 2015. I am about to file our I-130 and G-325A forms. My question is should I request an interview in Riyadh at the U.S. Embassy? I will file the papers in mid October in two weeks. Or should I ask for interview in U.S. Embassy for when she returns in June 2015. What is the difference? Riyadh is a very conservative place so we were concerned that she might have trouble getting to her interview on time in Riyadh, including the fact her boss keeps all the passports locked up in a safe. She has to ask ahead of time for her passport. It's all a pain in the _ss such simple details of life there, especially for a female guest worker. I am leaning towards a Manila interview. If I file for a Manila interview while she's living in Riyadh will there be any problems? Will the U.S. Embassy in Manila be communicating with her all the way to Riyadh? Is this a big problem? Will she be able to fulfill all the paperwork even though she's not in Manila? Or will she have to wait to return to Manila to to the paperwork? I am a little confused. I was thinking all paperwork could be completed while she is in Riyadh and the final interview will be held in Manila. Thanks for all your advice and support. Daniel

I have two questions. First where do I start my new question or topic? I can't find the link for new questions/topics? My question is this. I am an RN in Texas and I married my Philippina RN nurse in the Philippines in May 2014. After the marriage she returned to her job in Saudi Arabia as a RN. She's worked in Saudi since 2012 and we spend one month together in May 2014. For the 2014 tax year I filed head of household cause I was not sure on what do do. In retrospect I should have done Married Filed Seperately to avoid this potential problem. I have filed Head of Household since my divorce in 2009 due to my daughter living as a dependent. I read on a Visa Journey link that it might look bad if my taxes say Head of Household. It might be a red flag to the interviewer with my wife? Is that correct? According to IRS rules I am legal since my wife lives abroad and my daughter is a dependent. But with immigration law should I immediately amend my taxes to Married Filed Jointly. At the moment our case is with the National Visa Center and my wife will have an interview sometime this year in Saudi Arabia at the U.S. Embassy.
Thanks Daniel
