  1. I wanted to truly thank everyone on this forum for the great help and support during our Visa Journey! I wish everyone's journey is as smooth as ours, and everyone reunites with his/her loved one soon!

Here's a link to my timeline, I've shared my interview and POE experiences:

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=193580

I'll be glad to remain part of this forum and help as much as I can based on my experience and research.

    Good luck everyone!

  2. Here's what we did:

AOS docs put in one envelope, labeled AOS; IV docs put in another envelope, labeled IV

But both sent together in one envelope.

    AOS docs:

Document Cover Sheet (from the Welcome Letter)

    AOS Document Cover Sheet

    Written Cover Sheet

    I-864EZ

    Tax Trascripts (2014, 2013, 2012)

    W-2s (2014, 2013, 2012) ; (we filed 'married filing jointly' in 2014 and 2013, that's why included these)

    Employment Letter (although not required)

Pay stubs for the last 6 months (again, not required but we included them)

    Copy of Marriage Certificate

    Copy of U.S. passport

    IV docs:

Document Cover Sheet (from the Welcome Letter)

    IV Document Cover Sheet

    Written Cover Sheet

Translation in English of the birth certificate and the birth certificate in Bulgarian (translated and legalized)

Translation in English of the Court/Prison Records and the doc in Bulgarian (translated and legalized)

A note that Police Records are not obtainable

    Copy of Marriage Certificate

    Two passport pics

Copy of bio page of the passport

Translation in English of 'Marrital Status' doc and the doc in Bulgarian (translated and legalized) - this is required by the U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria

    I hope this helps.

  3. Very good progress. I am glad it went smoothly once you send off your documents.

Unfortunately some Embassy's don't seem to have available interview slots but yours seems to be on top of things.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, that's true, I've been reading here that depending on the country, the wait time is different. Some embassies are busier than others. It's going to be just the last waiting period... at the end, everyone will be amazingly happy with his/her other half, reunited forever!

We were hoping for an earlier interview date, we still hope we will be together for Christmas.

  4. Hi guys,

I'm very happy for everyone who got their CC and got an interview scheduled. I believe for those who are still waiting, the good news are on the way! Just a little more patience... everything will be fine and we all will be reunited with our loved ones by the end of the year!

I wanted to share our progress:

    Docs sent: September, 22nd

    Email Confirmation/Scan Date: September, 25th

Case Complete: October, 21st (26 calendar days, excluding October, 12th)

    Interview scheduled for: December, 17th

  5. Hi guys,

Did anyone of you receive such mail (regular mail letter) from NVC?

We haven't change any of our mailing/email addresses, so we never notified NVC. Do you have any idea why we got this letter?

  6. I am also hopping to get an interview in November. I had sent my documents for AOS and IV Civil Documents on 28th Sep. So I am right now on waiting list to get documents reviewed in October and hopping for my interview in November.

I have chosen Mumbai Consulate, India. Does anybody expecting the same in this time frame?

I want my spouse to be here in USA before 15th Dec to enjoy holiday season with her.

@dwheels76 Thank you so much for running such a good thread for all of us!!!! :goofy:

NVC received our docs on September, 23rd. We hope we'll get CC in the next 10-15 days, and hopefully, the interview will be scheduled for November. We hope we'll be together for Christmas, or earlier!

Sending positive energy. Let's hope for the best.

  7. I too got an email this morning that our documents were recieved on the 22nd. Seems there's a bunch of us :) Sending prayers & positivity that we all get a speedy 17-21 day CC ♡

Its weird cause i called every day this week to ask of they had scanned them in yet and they kept saying no

:-) One step closer. Lets support each other... the time will just fly by and we will be reunited with our loved ones soon! We're so excited!!!

  8. As per the instructions, only photocopies of civil docs have to be sent. A photocopy and original of each civil doc must be brought at the interview. A photocopy of the tax return is acceptable, W-2 has to be sent as well. But if you sent a tax transcript, it has to be the original (not a photocopy). If your father filed 'married filling jointly', a W-2 has to be included as well.

I'm not sure if he can use I-864EZ, it is to be used only if an I-130 petition was filled out and there's only one immigrant to be sponsored. Someone more experienced here perhaps can give more info about that.

  9. I should be right there with you. I sent my docs overnight on the 22nd. Tracking number showed they signed for it on the 23rd.

But I am one of those randomly feeling nervous about nvc scanning the docs before I pay or complete the DS 260. I hope to do all of that next week.

I hope they send you the IV fee so you can pay and complete the DS-260 as soon as possible.

I've just received an email from NVC saying that our docs were received on the 23rd and to allow them 30 days for reviewing them. So, you should get the same email today as well. :-) Hoping for a fast CC for all of us!

(For the record, docs sent on the 22nd, received on the 23rd by NVC, email confirmation from NVC sent today, 25th)

  10. Thank you very much! ...was really obsessed and wanted everything to be filled out correctly. Finally, this is how it was filled out:

    Left blank - part 7, 8, 9

    A-number (beneficiary): none

    ELIS number (beneficiary): none

    A-number (petitioner): N/A

    ELIS number (petitioner): N/A

Physical address: handwrote the address (which is the same as mailing)

    Employer 2: none

    Part 6. Sponsor's statement

    2. Not checked, but put N/A in the field

  11. What's the "Visa Class" shows to everyone on https://ceac.state.gov/IV/IVSummary.aspx? Is it CR1 or IR1?

You can find that out. Check your 'Welcome Letter' - Document Cover Sheet, just above the barcode is your case number and 'visa class'. Also, when you print your Document Cover sheet after paying AOS and IV fee, the 'visa class' is indicated at the very bottom, below the barcode.

  12. Thank you! It seems they've changed things. I've searched for more info here on VJ and found some threads:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/486958-ds-260-work-and-education-history/

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/504754-ds-260-missing-previous-employment-and-education-tabs/

There's no 'Add' button. There are just questions about:

    Primary Occupation:

    Presen Employer or School:

    Address:

    Do you have other occupations?

In which occupation do you intend to work in the U.S. ?

Have you ever served in the military?

  13. For those who have submitted the new i-864. Did you put n/a or none in every single box that did not have anything to do with your case?

Or did you leave them blank?

Especially the last few pages which are all about an interpreter...I have left them completely blank.

    Left them blank (I-864EZ) - part 7, 8, 9.

    But:

    A-number (beneficiary): none

    ELIS number (beneficiary): none

    A-number (petitioner): N/A

    ELIS number (petitioner): N/A

Physical address: handwrote the address (which is the same as mailing)

    Employer 2: none

    Part 6. Sponsor's statement

    2. Not checked, but put N/A in the field

  14. That's correct, no need to submit W-2s/1099 if you provide tax transcripts. We filed 'married filing jointly', though. So, we have to submit W-2s to show the income. The instructions say:

"...If you provide a photocopy of your tax returns, you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your returns. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your returns rather than a photocopy unless you filed a joint tax return with your spouse..."

So, that's why we included the W-2s.

  15. Please help. I've read many people were getting checklists for not putting 'n/a' or 'none' when filling out I-864EZ. Could you please help with that?

If the beneficiary doesn't have an Alien number/ELIS number, should 'none' be handwritten ? (For the petitioner - n/a)

Should all boxes in part 7 (Interpreter's Info), part 8(Preparer's Info), part 9 (Additional Info) be left blank ?

    Thank you!!
