  1. arrived with no problems here in Texas thru K1. We already secured a marriage license and waiting for our schedule to get married. What's the next step now to adjust my status? Can I get a SSN first before getting married? or do we get married first then SSN, and other requirements to adjust status? how do I fill up the I-485 form? thanks. What are the requirements for adjustment of status? thanks :goofy:

  2. dress casual. just answer the interviewer straight and brief answers. no side comments or anything. :) and remember also what you said on the first interviewer because some of those are the same questions that's going to be asked by the consul, listen properly because he/she might rephrase those.

  3. Congratulations to you! ;) l was wondering if you submitted an additional 2x2 id visa pic in the USEM. l no longer have extra copies to bring with me because l gave 4pcs of my 2x2 id visa pic at SLEC. Thank you.

nope, they didn't ask me for one.....

thanks everybody.... got me really worried at the embassy after the interview as I see some consuls congratulating other applicants and as well as saying sorry

  4. finally made it to the interview today and with the first interview with the Filipino staff, he was friendly and he checked all my documents and had a little conversation about our life before and after haiyan and the situation now with hagupit. He said to prepare my pictures and proof on my final interview and wished me good luck. On my final interview with a US male consul, he asked me about the name of my petitioner, how long we've known each other, where does she lives, and that's all. He didn't even bother to check my pictures and proof of relationship. He just said " Applicatione done! just wait for your number to flash and be called at the releasing area." He didn't say anything if I was approved or denied. When my number was called on the releasing window, the Filipino officer told me to drop the passport mail for at the 2go window. I said I didn't get any form. he checked my papers and said that no need already and they'll mail the passport to me. I asked if am I approved? he said again that they will be mailing the visa to me. and I can leave the embassy already.

    1. Am I approved at this point? or what? so I can tell my fiancé about what happened today. They didn't ask any additional documents from me by the way.

    2. Checked with the CEAC website already and it changed date but the Status is still ready and will have to wait after 1-2 business days on my Status.

    3. So on the CEAC, what are the next status from this point after ready?

    Thanks everybody. positive vibes.

  5. Im already right now travelling to cebu via boat due to cancelled flights in tacloban airport till the 16th. Hopefully i can get a ticket to manila this midnight at the airport. Family's safe in Tacloban aside from minor damages again to the house. Havent got a decent rest yet since before the typhoon and upto now. Hopefully USEM would be close tomorrow also so I can rest. :)

  6. Hi, My interview (K1) is due on the 10th of December and with the typhoon here right now and flights cancellation, I tried rescheduling it on the 17th as there was an opening. I clicked on the 17th and it said "error, try again" so I clicked on it again. The confirmation page appeared and when I checked the date it is on the 9th. I am so right now. I might not make it to Manila for the interview on the 9th considering the flight cancellation, and I can not reschedule an interview anymore.

    1. what happens if I can not make it on the interview date?

    2. I tried sending feedback but it said that will reply on 1-2 business days and today is Saturday.

what will I do? I am really worried

  7. Hi, how much days would it take to have an interview rescheduled? I have the interview on the 10th of December 2014 and will be flying to Manila on the 8th. Since a supertyhphoon will be hitting us again from where I am from, Im planning to reschedule the interview on a later date (LAST MINUTE maybe on Saturday or Friday) IF typhoon Ruby would hit us. Hopefully it wont cross Tacloban City and have our flights cancelled. Cant be in Manila as early as now for the interview, since we are prepping up for this typhoon and organizing an emergency humanitarian response from our organization. Typhoon sucks.
