    Time between Visa Interview at US Embassy and Visa Issuance

    Hello all!

    My fiancé has his interview schedule for January 14 at the US Embassy in Madrid, Spain. I was wondering if anyone has dealt specifically with this embassy or if anyone knows approximately how long it will take for him to have the visa in his hand after the interview.

    I had read in a forum somewhere that it takes about a week, but I thought I would post this question in case someone has more concrete information on the matter!

    It would be very helpful to know since we could then purchase his flight!
