Conditional Green Card expires Jan 28, 2017.  We filed I-751 for my wife on December 6, 2016, it was received December 12, 2016.  Today January 13, 2017 had appointment for Biometrics.  When will USCIS send "Extension Letter" so we may travel out of the county?

Update on green card. On Friday March 6, 2015 i received a text message on mobile phone: Your case IOE************** is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov. Checked status and i got a tracking number for green card sent. On Monday March 9, 2015 it arrived as USPS tracking stated.

In the uscis website I enable mobile and email notification 2 weeks ago, so they did notify via mobile text message.

I have come to a conclusion, that when I emailed USCIS ELIS about the green card that's when they started moving on my case. Because before that nothing was happening. So my suggestion to those that have paid ELIS and entered USA. Send an email requesting when the green card will be done otherwise it might just no move along.

On February 20, 2015, we accepted your Form OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXXXXX, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 22, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

She got her social security card on 9th of February 2015. When I call 800-375-5283 put in my receipt number I says i can not be found. How can I talk to somebody live person to look for my receipt. The 800-375-5283 is useless is only pre-recorded and you don't talk to anybody.

My wife's POE was 30 January 2015 and Paid ELLIS fee 28 January 2015 but still do not have green card. I saw that somebody already has their with a recent POE.

This information is for those who are starting the petition for a wife and would like to have the husbands last name on green card.

Once you are married make sure you get passport with Married name not Maiden name before starting process.

I got an answer from USCIS just now, and see what they said.

Maiden Name, i guess she has to use that until 2 year condition is removed. I guess she will have a maiden name green card and i guess we try to get social security with married name for Income Tax purposes, and US Id with married name

Yes very good idea to keep in DHL package, we thought about it after we opened it. we were scare that it was considered damaged with the slit like i showed in picture. We went to POE on Wednesday and they asked more questions than the Cd Juarez Consulate. They let me go in with my wife, I thought is was kind of suspicious that he asked the address where she was going to live at but he spelled it wrong and I corrected it. It was simple questions but trying to see if you answer correctly as written on your forms.

Yes I recommend calling. I paid AOS fee after that i emailed and called them hat I have money to pay the IV fee but there is no invoice to pay. They sent it within 3 days. I already was getting all the civil documents and I did the DS-260 right after paying fee.

Somebody please help that has gone thru this situation before. The green card has not be issued because Immigrant Visa for my wife was just approved Jan 20, 2015. I had requested from start of petition to use Married Last Name. But when the Visa was approved the front paper to enter USA has HER FATHER'S LAST NAME de MY LAST NAME, FIRST NAME

So if they have not issue card how can i get a message to them that we would like to have the green card with FIRST NAME MY LAST NAME. We do not want the Father's or Mother's name on it.

When I started the CR1 and filled form with Married for my wife and receipts came with Married name. When we did the I-864 I still filled last name with Married name for wife. By the time they got all the original documents the letter was stating Maiden Name. When appointment came the name was her Maiden name. I suppose because of the Mexico Passport. So now I paid the Elis fee on January 28, 2015 to get green card. How do i get them to send green card with Married name? Is there a form to get them to process with married name?

When did you get your green card after entering US?

I think if you document all of your conversations, pictures and pics with relatives and friends. and if you were to have children and document pregnancy with tests and pics with date stamed pictures.

I received package from Cd Juarez and the yellow envelope is like the picture enclosed. Is it supposed to be like this?

Well onthe Jan 20 appointment. Just checked and DHL was sent Jan 21, 2015. So only one day to ship out.

I dont know a lot about the process but I thought you can get an expedited Visa for Medical Emergency. Why don't you check with an attorney

Ok I got Appointment letter, but when I tried loging in to schedule biometrics appt, it tells me case is not ready for appoitment. How long does it take for case leaving from NVC to arrive in CD Juarez consulate to make biometrics appointment?

Probably fly to Cd. Juarez. I have a question, I just started a job and I don't want my employer to feel like she made wrong decision in hiring me in asking permission off work in January. So, can my wife go to interview with my mother or will it look bad if they were to ask "where is your husband: and she answers "working"? I know my mother will not be able to go in with her to Consulate. Mom will be going for support and companionship.

Thank God for your infinite mercy and works. Today I received a letter stating that Interview for wife is January 20, 2015 Cd Juarez. I just glad we have date in hand. I had sent an expedite email requesting a December 2014 interview because our baby is due in January 2015. I just be waiting to see if they have anything in December.
