HI All,
had my interview today at the LA office and was approved.
Interview was scheduled for 9:35am and I arrived at 9am. Was called in early at 9:15 and was all finished by 9:40. The interviewer was really nice and conversational. She swore me in and after a little conversation had me take the test. Questions were all from the 100 given to you so not a problem.
1. who was brought to the US as slaves
2. how many amendments to the constitution are there?
3. what is the highest court of the land?
4..who is currently VP
5. why did the colonies fight the british
6. who enacts laws
Then had to do the reading writing test, not a problem. We then went on to review my application, went through all the yes/no questions. Everything was going really well until she asked me what evidence I had brought with me as I only sent in tax files and transcripts (i'm applying based on 3 years of marriage). I explained that I didn't have anything else as the instructions were written as this, or this, or this and I elected to chose the tax filings rather than print out and send a stack of papers again like the 751. She said they have been trying to get USCIS to change the instructions so people bring more evidence. She asked if I had anything, which I didn't. I explained I could go home and get something to show her but she said it wasn't my fault and moved on.
We chatted a little more and she said I was approved and that I should receive my oath ceremony in about 30 days but if I don't have anything in 90 days then I have to call for an info pass.
Everyone at the LA office were great, friendly and made it an enjoyable experience....all such a relief!
Oath ceremony and then everything is done, finally!
