  1. My husband entered on a K1 visa and we are now submitting his AOS. I had a baby in February so I have been out of work since then.
My husband, baby and I live with my mom in her home. We pay our own bills and she does not claim any of us as a dependent. I do not have the income or assets to sponsor my husband alone so my mom is the joint sponsor. When I fill out the household size on the i-864, I get 3-my husband, myself, and baby. When we fill it out for my mother, it is only 2-herself and my husband. Should she be including me and the baby as well even though we are not claimed as dependents and we pay our own bills and even some rent? She has more than enough to support all of us, but the fact is that she doesn't. My income is only $7500 for the year, so they will probably wonder how it is possible that we are not dependents. My husband brought some money with him, I had a little saved, and he has won a few thousand dollars here in the US in races. And we've used our credit cards. So we've managed to get by. Should I explain this? Or Include us in my mom's household size anyways?

  2. I am TSC too and hoping and praying luck comes our way. Found out I was pregnant shortly before submitting our petition. Not planned at all! I am turning into a crazy person and completely terrified and somewhat resigned to the fact that Ill probably be alone for all of this...Its so hard for me but really sad for the baby and father.

Why is TSC so much slower than CSC?! It is beyond unfair. Maybe us TSC folks should create our own thread. While I am glad that CSC petitions are getting approved, everytime I read someone's approval, it feels like rubbing salt in a wound.

  3. I realize I made a minor mistake on question 34B of the I-129F Petition.

I had written all of my departure and arrival cities in the write up of how we met in order to make it easier for them to match with my plane tickets and passport stamps.

So I live in NY and wrote that I departed from JFK and arrived in Casablanca. But in fact I was in Spain on vacation, and departed from Barcelona and arrived in Casablanca.

Should I send a letter to acknowledge and correct the mistake? Do I send it to the lockbox where I originally sent my petition? Like I said they will see from my passport stamps and plane tickets that the departure city was in fact Barcelona, not New York.

  5. Hi guys,

I am getting ready to file our I-129 and I have read people talking about different service centers, and that you are supposed to file either in TX, CA, or VT, depending on where you live.

But when I look at the USCIS website, it says there is only one filing location and it is in Texas. See the link. Is this true? I live in NY, and I want to make sure I mail the petition to the correct location.

    Thank you!
