  1. I'm not sure about this because in the packet 4 says that you can download it:

You need an official police record, the one that you can download on line, won't do. The one you need can be gotten at a police station probably not the local one, but one near by. My novia lives in Palmira, and had to travel to Cali to get her Certifcado Judicial. It's a walk in, walk out kind of thing. The only thing that's hard is you may need more than one if your fiancée has lived in more than one city.

The birth certificate is also not hard, but as was earlier pointed out, it must be gotten from the city where your fiancée was born. In my case it was easy for her, because she still lived in the same city.

  2. Hola!

  3. Congratulations! Best of luck reuniting with your husband :)

    My PD 3rd March 2014.

Interview completed at Mumbai Embassy on 26th Oct 2015.

    Interview Result: Approved

    My experience:

    1. Even though I reached on time, it takes about 4 hours (almost waiting) to complete interview process.

    2. There is no space to wait for any person accompanying with you at all. Not even in the vicinity of embassy. No place to stand or wait!!!

    3. Some interview questions:

    a. How did you meet your husband?

    b. What is he doing?

    c. How did he go to USA and got his green card?

    d. What are you doing? Where do you stay?

    e. How many times have your husband travelled from USA to meet you after wedding?

    f. Did you go for honeymoon?

    g. They asked for W2 (eventhough it was already submitted).

    and couple more...

Finally they said your visa is approved!

Thank you VJ for all the support, right from emotional to informative without any damn penny!! All members truly rock and I have very high regards and humble thank you!!

Cheers and good luck for all other aspiring candidates!

  4. Thank you for the info. We are definitely going to wait, just a little bit more o patience.

Folks who are considering the option to send fee by mail, I would suggest to wait for one more week till 07/10/2015 as per notice below that was issued on 06/29/2015 ; they are estimating the online system for immigrant section to be fixed next week.

"We are still experiencing problems with some online immigrant visa application forms. We hope to have a fix in place for this by early next week."

    http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/news/technological-systems-issue.html

I hope they keep their time line as promised this time; considering the 4th of July long weekend.

I did pay my IV fee via mail and got email to submit DS260 after 7 days (once payment was processed plus phone call to them) and I hope can submit DS260 next week.

  5. Love your attitude, you guys are so close, best of luck :)

    Hi all,

On a more positive note, we Sept 2013 filers should applaud ourselves for maintaining our sanity for this long, despite the retrogression that hit us like a tsunami. Now we are back and this time nobody can hold us down.

For me,I'm simply going to sit back and enjoy the remainder of this epic journey until the IL arrives in my mailbox. And surely, it's only a couple of weeks away.

    Cheers all

  6. Claro que si muchísimas gracias...

    Hola.

    * triple viral
    * difteria
    * influenza
    * varicela (esta en caso d q no te haya dado)

  7. spent less than 2h, first we were pre-screened

i gave them my passport, IV letter, police certificate..they went to get my record and they gave me back some of the papers that we sent to NVC

told us to seat and wait for our number to be called again..

less than 30min we were called and CO sworn us,

    he only asked us:

    How did we meet?

    How long did we dated?

When did my husband went to live to the U.S. (after he finished college here in my country)?

How we decided to get married?

    if we have kids?...

What do i do for work here in my country?

And thats it.. No photos, no tax reports, no letters...none of those proof of relationship that we prepare

    Visa approved

We spoke in english with the CO, very nice and easy going person

    First of all congratulations!!! :D
Is it necessary to go with your partner or you can go by yourself?
