    Thank you Everyone for the information.

    My wife and i have been in this process for over a year (Filed 1-130 in May 2013) and it's just been really frustrating that it takes THIS long. I understand security and background checks, also the sheer volume of visas that are applied for to go to the US. I guess i just assumed for a IR1 or even a K1 visa that the process would be much faster due to my wife being a citizen.

    agbcha, Can you tell me more about the how to get your congressman involved? My wife is from Colorado, so obviously we need to contact her Senator, but just the general steps you took, so IF we take longer than 60 days (yes, I plan to contact them again after 60 days, too) we can use this as our next step? Any information is useful. Thank you.

    Hi,


    I did the interview on 08/12/14 and everything was okay Alhamdullah. The officer asked me to bring an updated police certificate later to process my visa. I dropped that document in the same day in the embassy gate.

    On the 08/18/14 I saw on visa status site that my case is on AP.


    It's been almost a month since my interview and still no word from the Embassy.

    they haven't gave me any information where to get the visa or how to pay UPS.


    Please help if you have any idea

    ----------Salam Alikum,

    I have almost a similar case to yours and would like to know how long you have been in AP? I had my interview on Aug 12 and was given the 2221g as they wanted a valid Police Cert. I gave them everything they ask for that same day. On the CEAC site it says my case was updated Aug 18 but still AP. I am wondering how long this will take?

    Any help would be great. Thank you.
