Oops sorry.

We forgot to pay the fee for green card so my dad isn't getting his green card yet, but he may have to leave to go back to China in a few days. Can he still do that and come back? He got his visa in May.

My dad just got here for about 2 weeks. He is thinking about going back because his house in China is getting demolished by the government so he needs to go back. Can he come back if he leaves in early July? He got his SS card but not his Green Card yet.

Also, when does my dad get his green card and SS card?

Thanks. I am wondering though, we sent to the consulate a lot of personal photos and other documents, but I don't think we got them back.

Even if it weren't delayed, the plane would have departed at 7:40pm. He borrowed someone's cell and called me at 7pm and said he was waiting at the gate...So he was through in 50 minutes.

Funny thing. DTW -> EWR flight got delayed by 2.5 hours.

I did all of that already, but I think he will be staying in the airport if he misses the flight.

I could have bought the ticket with a 20 hour layover in Beijing (from another airport) and 7 more at Detroit....lol

Anyways, I told him to only go to the bathroom if he needs to AFTER he finds his gate and if he has time.

Rebooking is too expensive..I think he'll be fine...

Okay, he knows some of this already, but I'll tell him about #2...and is the boarding door in the front of the plane?

Okay. We'll see. I'm gonna help him prepare how to fill out the custom declaration form. Will a Chinese version be available?

Okay. I know DTW's custom wait time is shorter than JFK's...but he may have to call us if he misses the flight.

Okay I called Delta and a representative said he has to pick it up at his first stop in the US, which is DTW...I think they'll get rebooked though for free, if he misses it.

Okay. Well I don't know then....How do I know if he has to pick up his checked bags?

My dad is coming to the US, but he has to stop at Detroit for an 85 minute layover. I know he has to go through customs and I already bought my ticket. It is delta airlines but it's the same airlines for the 2nd flight, will he have enough time?

Thanks. The person there filled out the form for her while looking at her GC and ID, so I guess it should be fine.

I can go on USCIS and submit a typo error, but I'm not sure if it's necessary yet.

So my mother went to her biometrics appointment today, and when they asked her for her first name, she said her last name because her English isn't that good. She did show them her green card and ID card though. I called USCIS and the representative said that she could not change it. Do you think that this will be okay? I am going for my biometrics appointment next Tuesday, maybe I can ask them?

Both my mom and myself are applying for green card renewal and we are also filling out form i912 for a fee waiver. Do we still need to send the fee in the mail? And also, form i912 asks if any dependent is included in fee waiver request, and I think that would be me. So should we send 2 different mails and include 2 different i912 forms, or can we send it altogether in one (2 i90 forms, 1 i912 forms)? Thanks.
