You don't need to send your marriage certificate as they already have yours from AOS. I had sent mine which they returned even though I didn't ask them to return it. You can submit copies of everything and yes, you can print off your bank statements. Each statement should be showing both your names and joint address which should make it obvious you're joint account holders. The exception is if you have a court order, you'd have to submit original or certified copy. Read the pinned threads in this sub-forum for examples of what all you can send. Good luck to you!
Would they accept a scanned copy of our son's birth certificate? I would hate to have to pay for an official copy if I don't need it.

So my husband and I are pulling together our evidence so we can send in his removal of condition. I was just wondering if everything had to be an official copy, like our marriage license and our sons birth certificate. Will they accept a scanned copy of our apartment lease agreement and reciept from buying our car? Also, can we just print off our bank statements, or do we need to get some sort of official form from the bank showing that we have a joint account? Any reccomendations of extra stuff to send in so we could possibly bypass the interview? TIA

My husband and I are putting together the adjustment of status packet, and we just have a few questions (some are silly).
1. Do we need to include pictures of the wedding, or anything like that?
2. With the affidavit of support, is it the same as the one we filled out for the application of the K-1 Visa? Can I do a co-sponsor, since I am in school and can't work full time?
3. Silly question: Can we staple each different section of paperwork together so things don't get mixed up? For some reason I thought I remembered something about not stapling things.
Any other advice would be great!!

Thank you for your information. We are working on figuring it all out,

My husband and I just got married last week after receiving our K-1 visa. We are looking at the papers now. We don't have the money for the I-485 filling fee at the moment. Can we do his employment authorization before the I-485, so that he can work to help save money for it? Also, is there just one Biometrics appointment for everything?

After 314 days, my fiance finally received his K-1 visa and is sitting beside me as I type this (WOOHOO!). Our wedding is next month, but we don't really know what the next step is. What is the next form to fill out and does it have to be done before the wedding? Any guidance is welcome!

I emailed the embassy and they said it was still in administrative processing. On CEAC it still just says READY. I am getting so frustrated with them. They have been so slow with everything and it is really discouraging to have to wait even longer when they won't give any updates.
-
How long after the interview?

-
On CEAC it says they changed his status on 1/21/15 to READY. What does that mean? His interview was on the 16th.

Our visa was approved one week ago. My fiance and I are not quite sure how he is supposed to get his visa. When we registered for the interview, we put a delivery address down. Does DHL deliver it to that address? Or does he go to DHL to pick it up? Also, what is the average time frame for getting approved and physically having the visa and flying here? What is the next step in getting him permission to work?
-
He said it went very well! I sent him a binder with all of the papers organized by tabs. He is deaf and did not have an interpreter, so they kept everything very short and simple, so he finished by noon! They only asked him when we met and looked at the papers and said we were approved.
-
My fiance had his interview today and was approved! Praise God!

Do you know anything about the package that was supposed to be delivered through DHL after we scheduled the interview? He said he hasn't gotten anything since the packet showing all of the paperwork and forms he would need to bring to the interview (before we scheduled).

We are preparing for our interview in a few short weeks. My parents are co-sponsoring and we are not sure which form they are supposed to fill out. Do they fill out the I-134, same as me? Also, any other advice about the day and what to bring would be great! My fiance is deaf and is worried about how communication will go. Thanks!

There was interview dates for the first 3 Fridays in December. We chose not to do it that early because we didn't want to take the chance of not getting paperwork back in time. If you think you can get it all done in that time, you may get your Christmas gift!

Thanks! I just followed the link the embassy emailed me and followed the instructions. I am praying they figure out the issues they are causing and make it easier for those coming after us.

It was green.

I just finished. Ours didn't have anything like that. The only option I had was to pay the fee and schedule the interview. There was nothing stating we had to register and come back. We are set for January 16th!
-
The only option I could pick on their link was for scheduling. I guess this is all one process. I'll figure it out in a few minutes.

Hey all! Thanks for all of the feedback! I emailed the embassy and this was their reply
"Good day Sir/Madam:

You then follow the on-screen instructions.
To register by phone, ask questions, or track the status of your delivery, please call

I'm assuming this is them giving us the permission to schedule without having received our confirmation letter in the mail? I hope so because I'm going to do it now! I'm ready to get married!
-
We have only received the first packet with all of the instructions. We haven't gotten anything since we turned in the DS 160. We got the automatic response that said they would reply in 5 days. That was two weeks ago now. Will our notice come in the mail or by email?
-
My fiance completed the DS 160 and emailed the confirmation barcode on November 7th. We still have not received anything about our interview date. We tried to call the consulate yesterday and the day before, but the woman on the phone kept saying we had to pay our fee first before we could move on further. She wouldn't even let me get another word out before she hung up on me both times. I understood that the fee was due when he actually goes for his interview. Did I miss something? Is there another number I can call where they will listen to my questions?

Wonderful, thank you! I had kind of figured the same, but I wanted a second opinion
