  1. @netkit,

There is one F3 case with PD Dec 24, 2004 in Vietnam got their interview date in October, so the visa bulletin in October will at least move to Jan 1, 2005. Congratulations to F3 2005!!!

    @EOT,

Thank you for your information. It's good to know that. As soon as the status changes into "READY" then I can move on with the CSPA review at the Consulate.

    Cheers!!!

  2. Medicals booked for the 12th of September. I am very frustrated and disappointed with the way NVC have handled our application in relation to my son who turned 21 last year. We spoke several times with NVC over the course of this year to ensure that everything was ok with regard to our son's CSPA review. All they would say is that his CSPA review would be done when a visa became available.

Now that a visa has become available, we have discovered that our son is no longer on our application because he turned 21. Furthermore, we now have to instigate the CSPA review with the consulate ourselves. I have emailed the Montreal embassy because they don't accept phone calls and their automated response says that the review process (not CSPA review) will take up to 10 weeks, however, they will try to respond to our email in 5 business days.

So it seems like my son will not be going to the interview with us even though NVC have advised us to take him with us. We are going to get his medical done and will hand over the paperwork and his medical to the case officer. Unless the consulate tells us to bring our son, he will not be going. We have tried to be proactive and not reactive, however, NVC have let us down with regard to the information they have provided.

From my experience, one thing is crystal clear to me, the NVC agents are unable to provide consistent, clear and accurate instructions. Some of the agents are just lazy and will give you the minimum amount of information. Some will give you information that is just simply incorrect, whereas some will actually go away and try and find out the information for you. In essence, take what they say with a grain of salt because to me, it appears that they themselves do not even know what the correct process is.

    Hi EOT,

I am the CSPA child of my family's case and I specifically know how to deal with this step. Let's have a look at the CSPA procedures in my country (Vietnam) as below:

There are 2 options for a CSPA case to be reviewed. Both of them require the visas for your case to be available at the time of CSPA review:

    +AT NVC:

_Pros: @You can immediately & directly work on the CSPA review right at the moment NVC tells you your interview date & time.

@You can proceed with the visa fee & DS-260 for your CSPA child and the CSPA age of the child should be "locked" right away.

@After finishing the CSPA review, the interview letter will include all of the family members and they can have medical check at the same time.

_Cons: @NVC may delay your case completion to review the CSPA, so you may receive the Interview Letter 1 or 2 or even 3 months later than the cases with same PD.

    +AT US EMBASSY/ CONSULATE:

_Pros: @The process doesn't delay your case completion. You just have to wait 2 weeks before the interview date (when the status on ceac website shows "READY") then you can send an inquiry to the US embassy/ consulate to ask for a CSPA review. They will make an appointment with you to review CSPA in 2 or 3 days after the date of sending the inquiry. Go ahead with paying visa fee on the appointment date, medical check, filling DS-260 & just join the interview date with the whole family.

_Cons: @You have to wait until 2 weeks (or 10 days) before the interview date (when your immigration package will be transferred to the US Consulate or ceac status shows "READY").

@With "AT NVC" method, you can lock your child's CSPA age sooner than this one. This fact is very helpful for children who will turn 21 of CSPA age near the interview date.

@The initial interview letter won't include the CSPA child, so he/she has to wait after the review to have his/her name on the new interview letter.

I hope the above information will be useful for members with CSPA cases.

    Cheers!!!

  3. NVC didn't specifically respond to my inquiry. They said yesterday that the interview notifications had left their system and to keep an eye out for the emails. Wife checked her email this morning and the email had arrived. We had opted to receive communication via email, so we would not be expecting an interview letter anyway.

Thank you so much for your information.

I mentioned the "official interview letter" as an email but you might have thought it in a different way. I'm sorry for my Vietnamese - English. ^^

I guess the emails are on their way to us and we should receive them within 24 hours.

    God bless America & us!!!

  4. For the first time ever, alpeah gave us some useful information. ^^

    Thank u jtv & alpeah.

July & November 22, 2004 cases got IL in September, so 99.99% visa bulletin for F3 won't be retrogressed. WOO HOO!!!

Now we need some more info about the cases with PD after Dec 01, 2004.

P/S: Told u so. NVC's predictions are sucks!!!

  5. In the previous visa bulletin (July 2016), NVC did predict that F3 category would move "UP TO 2 WEEKS IN AUGUST & SEPTEMBER 2016" (the last 2 months of this NVC fiscal year). However, F3 stood still in AUGUST visa bulletin - no movement at all. Also, NVC gave us another prediction on SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER visa bulletins (retrogression in SEP & return in OCT).

Do you think we should believe in their predictions? Cause the previous one wasn't correct (and also many others if you've been following them). Any chance that the next visa bulletin will be different?

  6. Even the head of National Visa Center cannot predict exactly what will happen with the upcoming visa bulletins. He often shares his predictions with the immigration lawyers council and many of them are not true (if you follow the immigration headlines, you will know what I'm talking about).

For the amount of time that each applicant has to wait until they get a visa, there is no fixed/ stable time frame. In 2002, my childhood friend got the F3 visa by 6 years of waiting (applied for F3 category in 1996). In 2010, many F3 applicants got their visas by 9.5 years of waiting. At that time, I used to think like @neel99 that they have a specific time frame for F3 and it shouldn't be over 10 years. However, at the moment, you have to spend 11.5 years and even more in the future---> Keep in mind that F3 cases in 2005,2006...20xx will have to wait your entire life (70-90 years or more) to get a visa to USA @@ It may sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Unless there are any immigration changes from the US President & the National Assembly, there won't be any hopes & dreams for F3 applicants.

  7. More than 50% of the chance that F3 will continue to stand still (no movement) this month cause most of the other categories (F1, F2A, F2B, F4) have received & shared their interview info on the immigration forums the past few days. The only F3 case received interview info I have heard about is a November 2004 case.

What I'm hoping for July visa bulletin is to provide us with some details about F3 recent delays but absolutely not a retrogression prediction!!!

We should have positive thinking on the waiting, but we also need to see things clear.

  8. I've just called NVC "...Can you please let me know the interview date of my case?"

and the operator said "...uh...I don't see one yet, sir."

---> NO MOVEMENT FOR F3 AGAIN!!!

By the way, several F2B & F4 cases in Vietnam have just been informed about the interview dates in July---> Congratulations to them again!!!

Please don't ask "...any predictions/ any information/ any....". Just keep calling NVC & share your own info here.

  9. Tonight (May 25th, 2016) you can start to call NVC to ask about your interview date. If you can't speak English, just ask your petitioner/ relatives in USA to do it. After that, we share our info here with everyone and that's how we are here for.

Please stop asking "any update? any prediction? any any...?". That won't help!!! They only annoy us!!!

  10. I have no idea about the upcoming visa bulletin. However, these priority date estimators may speak for me:
