  1. I just spoke to my husband to make sure he understood what they said to him and so that I can clarify what I understood from him. He said that he was called to the first window where he was asked for his original birth certificate and they also asked for a updated i864 which I had sent him he handed them over and the man at the window told him good then asked who filled out his ds260 because the passport number was entered incorrectly my husband told him that we had filled it out and the man asked if he knows how to fix it he said no then he said he will try to fix it for him and proceeded to say that he wasn't able to. Then he was called to the second window where the CO asked him questions where he answered everything the CO said she needed to write something down and then came back and gave him the 221G. At the third window the last lady told him that his case needed further review because of the passport error and that he needs to register with the post and he was already registered and she said they will send him a letter saying that everything is fixed and he will need to send in his passport ? This entire thing is making my head hurt and my heart heavy so is he really in AP because of the passport mistake or is he in AP because of something else. They said they will correct the issue and contact us so I guess we wait? I hope this doesn't take too long. ?

  2. Hey everyone so my husband had his interview yesterday and we were denied or refused I'm not really sure what it would be. So his interview went well the asked the general questions and he answered all of them at the end the CO told him that everything was good his papers were good but there was in issue with the DS260 and that his passport number was entered incorrectly. He was informed that he needs to fix the issue and then they will send Gina letter stating he can mail in his passport and they will give him his visa. The CO proceeded to hand him a 221G form which states that he was denied and his application needs further review. Here is the issue first of all the form does not have the reason for his denial there is nothing stating this passport number mistake. Second there is nowhere that says where or how this issue can be fixed. I'm not sure what to do at this point I'm confused and a bit worried because nothing is clear to me. I did log into the ceac website and it states the case is in AP so if anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it thanks in advance!

  3. Congrats to Moonrising!!! Unfortunately I didn't get an approval. The CO told my husband that everything was good but there was a mistake somewhere his passport number was input correctly I guess so the gave him a 221G and now we are in AP but the form they gave him doesn't say any of that on there nothing about what the mistake was where or how to fix it nothing and I've read it over and over at least 10 times! If anyone has any insight how what to do at this point in finding out where and how to fix it please let me know thanks in advance and good luck to the ones waiting I guess my advice make sure everything is correct before submitting any forms one tiny mistake can add another 3+ months ?

  4. Hey everyone my husbands interview was this morning I'm still waiting on him to let me know what happened but I did speak to him before hand and everything was ok! Freedom he did cross from Qalandia this morning and he said it went smoothly thank god he went very early 5am so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it but it was fine! Moonrising lives on the other side so they won't be crossing the checkpoint hoping it went well for them!

  5. You will be asked to present the originals (or certified copies) civil documents for verification and a photocopy of each required civil supporting documents, you might want to read more on the following link:

02- Immigrant visa and alien registration application confirmation page.

03- The passport and a photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary.

I guess that's it - let us know how your interview gone, good luck! :)

thanks ammali I will let you all know how it goes counting down the days now!!!

  6. Freedom

I had the same issue but it was because where it asks for the DS-260 number you have to put in the number on the bottom of the confirmation page that barcoded it has letters and numbers at least my did. Which I put that in it let us select wassel and which branch so try that I hope it helps!! Moonrising his appointment is really early and I'm not sure when the permit starts to allow you to enter! They really make it hard for people from the West Bank but I hope everything goes well! He's applied for permits before and has gotten them without any issues but passing and checkpoint and trying to be there 30 mins to an hour early is going to be near impossible all I can do is hope for the best

  7. Totally in shock - called NVC back today and we have an interview date! October 8th! They said it just came through this morning.

Good luck to those still waiting!

Im so happy for you moonrising!!! Our case was completed in August and we got an interview scheduled for the same day Oct. 8th!!! Im so excited as I bet you are to. My husband just went and got his medical done and will have to go back in a few days to pick it up same doctor too which he tried to charge him 1200NIS!!!! But then after everything said it was 750NIS which is still outrageous but honestly at this point i just want this situation to be done with so I can finally see my husband! Now we are working on getting our documents ready for the interview. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the visa to be issued after the interview? Also my husbands interview is scheduled very early in the morning and he lives in the west bank I'm worried he will not make it in time he has applied for a pass I'm guessing is what it would be referred to in english for that day so he can enter and go to jerusalem but I don't don't what time they start allowing people to enter. And I also don't think he can get a 2 day pass??? Not sure what we will do about this does anyone have any advice?

  8. I have filled out and sent all my required paper work for my husband. I did have a joint sponsor which is my father the NVC came back and stated that it wasn't enough income and I will need to submit another i864 and send to my spouse so he can take it to the embassy at the interview. Now my problem is I don't have another sponsor but I think I realized my issue I didn't add any of my fathers assets for example his house and car which he told me i should have added. Can I just redo the i864 keeping my dad as the sponsor but adding his assets or do I need to find someone else? Im not sure what to do at this point because an interview can be scheduled at any point now and i will need to have all the new stuff mailed which takes time. If someone can please help that will be amazing thanks in advance!!!!

  9. no do not mail them to NVC it goes to the embassy. many have gotten the same email. if you send it to NVC it will cause delays. if you think your covered then don't fill out a new one but if you strongly believe you need another sponsor then do so. a lot of people that use assets as income get this email so if that's the case then that's the reason you got it as well.

good luck on your interview! your done with this step

    Thanks ☺️

  10. I was looking to see if I can find any info on how long it takes for an interview to be scheduled for Palestine at the embassy in Jerusalem but it doesn't seem like to many people from there post any info so I saw this and I hope it doesn't take us that long but I do wish everyone still waiting good luck and I hope you don't have to wait too much longer!

  11. Hey everyone I woke up this morning to an email from the NVC stating that they were sending me a checklist now when i read the email it has 3 different ways they want you to resolve the issue. My checklist says that its for the AOS I need another sponsor. Now in the email it says to have the sponsor fill out the AOS form and then I need to send it to my husband for him to take with him to the interview. Is this true? Do I need to mail them the for as well? Im not sure at this point what to do. Here is a copy out of the email

We reviewed the Affidavit of Support documentation you sent to the National Visa Center

(NVC). According to the current poverty guidelines, it does not appear you or any of your

sponsors meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s)

for this petition. To avoid delays, you may have an additional sponsor complete an

Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and provide it to the intending immigrant to submit at

their interview. At that time, a consular officer will make a decision regarding this

    requirement.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

  12. how can i check on the status of my case at this point? Ive filled out everything paid my fees and sent all the paper work. I also filled out the ds260 so I'm not sure where I can go to see where my case is at this point in time and whether or not i receive any RFEs any information will be greatly appreciated. I also forgot to mention on July 16 I got an email from the NVC stating that they received my documents and to allow 30 days from processing.

  13. I was thinking this same thing my husband sent me the police records from Palestine but I wasn't sure if he needed to get records from the Israel side as well. The one he sent me was sealed and they told him at the office he picked it up from not to open it or it will no longer be valid. Just to be safe i will ask him to get another copy before his interview we still have time i think before that happens

  14. Hello everyone! So I'm pretty sure most of the people going through this stage currently are aware that there were issues with the website being down and most of use we unable to pay fees or get the ds260 to open up. I was finally able to access the ds260 last week but unfortunately I had already sent my AOS and IV package together just like many have done. My question is now since the packets have been sent once I fill out the ds260 what do I need to do? Will I need to send anything to the NVC again after filling it out? Or do I need to wait? Im pretty confused on this step and not sure exactly how to go about it now that my stuff has been sent. Thankfully I have copies of everything I sent just in case but if I can get assistance as what I'm supposed to be it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance

    Nora

  15. Good afternoon fellow vj members I am finally going to fill out my I-864 after multiple times of going over the form and instructions. This is making me crazy it seems so easy but then not so much. From what I've seen and heard this is the form that people get the most RFEs from because of simple mistakes. So here is my question on page one for mailing address this will be mine address or my husband who is the immigrant overseas? Also the form says its expired on 3/31/2015?
