Hey there!!! I hope you got your AOS resolved, and if so, how long did it take to get your green card? Thank you
Hi,
It took about four weeks to have the green card in hands after my new medical exam was received.
Hope you get it soon!

Congrats!!! ?????

Hi JessDak,
I think we've all been through the same. The process itself is very stressful but at the end it's worth it.
You should try to volunteer while you wait for your EAD/AP. There are a lot of opportunities out there for all types of causes. It would keep you busy and you could also meet new people in your community.
Check out this website:

Good luck in your journey!

Hi Kiki,
This is the lesson I learned: USPS does not forward government mail. This is why your card was sent back to USCIS instead of your new address.
Now you need to wait until someone from USCIS sends it to the address you provided on the form and when you called. I may take about two more weeks until you get it.
The good news is that at least it's all moving fast! I had to wait about 8 weeks to have the card in my hands.

Hi Shon,
We're on the same boat. I sent my new medical exam and it was received a week ago.
Has anyone else had this experience? How long did it take to get the GC approved?
Thanks,
Angie.

So today or my i say yesterday i got a letter stating.
1.Please submit updated Form I-693, Medical Examination Seeking Adjustment of Status.YOU MUST HAVE AN EXAMINATION FOR TUBERCULOSIS
2. Please submit updated Supplemental Form to I-693, Adjustment of Status Applicants Documentation of Immunization
due by oct. 17 2015
again interview was last week.
5 questions
1. do i have to redo the whole examination? or just part of it?
2. will this push back approval date?
3. My 2 year wedding anniversary is in a few days, if is delayed and everything is sent to them after the anniversary would i automatically get approved for the 10 year GC?
4. or does the date not matter since the interview was last week? attached a similar pic.
5 Is this bad news

Hi Carlos,
How long did it take to get the GC approved after USCIs received the evidence?
Thanks,
Angie.

By the way, has anyone else had this same experience? How long does it usually take to get the green card approved once the evidence is received at the field office?
I appreciate your help.

Hi Shady,
Same story here. I had my AOS interview on July 7th and got a RFE hand delivered for a new medical exam.
I mailed the sealed envelope to the addres indicated on the letter and it was received on July 14. I haven't received any update so far.
I suggest you to follow the instructions on the letter.
Thanks,
Angie.

I hope they keep it!
Let us know if you were able to pick it up.

Yes, call them just make sure. Maybe they got the form but it hasn't been processed.
You can work without the physical green card if your EAD is still valid.I suggest you to be honest with your employer and explain them the situation because it will take some time.
It took about 8 weeks to have the card in my hands after I got the notification that it was "undeliverable".
The other thing you could do as Arken said is: to check if the current residents in your old address have the card and they are ready to give it to you, then you can pick it up from them. But if USPS had already started sending back the card to the sender, then it will go back to USCIS and they will mail the card to your current address.
Hope this helps.

Same happened to me last year. Long story short, it was a mess!
You need to call USCIS as soon as possible to give them your new address (even though you already did it before). After that, the only thing you can do is to wait until the Post Office send it back to USCIS. Once they receive it, they will send it to your new address.
Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello!
USCIS website say that they send me my new green card on September 2, No tracking number.
2 weeks latter I went to USCIS office in Manhattan told them I didn't receive my green card and that they didn't give any tacking number on the website, that I want to travel with my husband if they can give me the I-551 Stamp on my passport. The girl said no because I'm not traveling for an emergency! Then she told me that is strange that I didn't receive my green card yet, That is 2 day priority mail, that I shoul go to usps and ask them or call them. Then she gave me a taking number and said that my green card was out for delivery on September 4. Where the hell is my green card?? Since that I call usps and they say that they don't know and blah blah that if they find my package they will call me. I enter at usps website and the website only say this (i will post the picture)! Almost 1 month and my card is not delivered! I don't know what to do
Hi Lucielygrullon,
One question: Have you recently moved?
Same story happened to me. My EAD/AP card was sent out to my old address on August 31st and it was delivered at that mailbox on September 2nd. I didn't know this after a week I received an update from USCIS a week later.
When I initially called USCIS they asked me to re-apply and pay for the EAD/AP card because " it was not their mistake". Of course I was not willing to pay again when I made sure to update my address before I moved and actually got confirmations from USCIS and USPS.
After 3 weeks, I got a USPS notification that my card was finally returned to USCIS. I immediately called customer service and asked them to re-send the EAD/AP to my new address. I have not received any response yet but at least I know it was not lost or stolen.
I highly recommend you to keep calling USPS customer service, make a complaint, get to talk to you local PO. I am sure it must be somewhere or there must be something they can do.
Hope you get your GC soon. Good luck.

Round trip ticket! I've been in that situation and the CBP almost refused to let me in since I didn't have a proof that I was going back to my country.
Better safe than sorry.

We have ordered 28 photographs of proof of our relationship. Do we both need to sign them or just one of us?
Just write on the back the date and place.
I did it this way. No issues at all
-
Typically, mail from USCIS cannot be forwarded, even if you ask the postal service to do it.
You will likely have to wait until it shows up or is returned to USCIS as undeliverable.
Hi Hypnos,
thank you for your answer. I just don't understand why my tracking status says it was "delivered in/and mailbox on September 2nd".
I think the mail guy should have updated the status with something like " undelivered" if it was returned.
I really hope it was sent back to USCIS and it is not lost.
Regards,
Angie.

Hi Guys,
I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone has been in a similar situation:
On August 25th I requested my change of address with USCIS and USPS online. I asked USPS to start forwarding all my mail from California to Colorado on August 29th
On August 28th, I received a notification from USCIS that my EAD card was sent to my address.
On August 31st, I received a confirmation letter from USPS at my new address in Colorado.
On September 10th, I received a notification from USCIS that my card was delivered in my mailbox. I checked the tracking number on USPS.com and found out my card was delivered on September 2nd at my old address in California!
I called USCIS and they said there's nothing they can do because it was delivered to the address they have on their system. I explained them I requested a change of address 4 days before I moved to Colorado but they processed it until September 3rd so the card was on its way.
I called USPS and they asked me to wait 10 business days because it was probably forwarded.
Finally, I called the people who is currently living at my old apartment but they said they haven't received anything.
It's been more than 10 business days and I still don't know anything about my card.
What can I do now?? Please advise!

The Online site says they will get back to us with some sort of reply about the lost card by Sept 23, but we have the AOS interview Sept 29 so it may be a moot point...
Hope you get it soon!
-

Hello SaharaSunset,
I am about to start filling out my N-400 application (marriage based). I am a little confused with the N-400 Instructions vs. M-477 checklist.
Which one should I follow?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Angie.
