  1. Just checked the status of my i-485 form and it was updated today!!!

Does this message mean that my interview was waived? If so, this is insane!! lol :D I really thought I was going to get an interview since the previous update was "READY TO BE SCHEDULE FOR AN INTERVIEW"

FYI, I already have my EAD. I guess this is the Green Card?

On November 24, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC*****, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

CONGRATS!!! Yes your interview has been waived. My husband never had the "Ready to be scheduled...." status. The Green Card is on it's way!! This is a good sign for everyone!! Maybe they are waiving interviews to try to catch up or something.

  2. I just checked and my local field office is now working on March 18, 2015 for I-485 forms! It was December 2014 before so it's great that they are moving faster now. You should check processing times for your field office they might have changed!

Boston is working on February 18. 2015 I-485 forms based on the USCIS website. However, my husband who filed late August already has his greencard. It makes me question how accurate that site is.

  3. Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office

On November 12, 2015, the Post Office delivered your new card for Receipt Number MSC********, to the address that you gave us. The tracking number assigned is *****************. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I'm so happy!!! I just received this update. I first got a text saying that the case was updated and then checked the case status online. God is so good! I'm wishing everyone the same blessing that my husband and I received today.

    8/26/15 - NOA for AOS

9/14/15 - Biometrics taken (walk in; original biometrics appt was 9/22/15)

11/3/15 - We ordered your new card

11/6/15 - We mailed your new card to the address you gave us.

11/10/15 - We approved your Form I-485, Application to register permanent residence

    11/13/15 - Green Card delivered

  4. Congratulations!!! This is really great to see!

What was your case status like before the new card update?? Did it change from fingerprint received straight to new card in production? Was there any notification about waiving the interview? Sorry for all the questions- I'm invested and constantly perplexed by USCIS as you can imagine! Thanks so much for keeping us updated!

Thanks! My husband's status did go from fingerprint received to new card in production. We did not get any communication about the interview being waved. I honestly could not believe it. These were the statuses for the greencard:

11/3/15 - We ordered your new card

11/6/15 - We mailed your new card to the address you gave us.

11/10/15 - We approved your Form I-485, Application to register permanent residence

  5. I'm in the same boat. I'm not counting on hearing anything until sometime next year. During an Infopass prior to filing AOS USCIS said to expect Green Card around our 1 year wedding anniversary (August) so that's what I'm preparing for. Makes it easier to deal with the complete silence from USCIS.

My husband and I were told that the greencard would take at least 8 months. You never know! I do believe now that there is no real timeline for how USCIS processes applications. We filed for the greencard 8/24/15 and it's in the mail to us now. I wish I knew why or how our aos was processed so fast. It would be good to know.

  6. My husband received this email this morning. His greencard is in the mail! On 11/3 the card was in production and the notice below says the card was mailed out on 11/6. I hope this is a good sign for everyone that's doing this AOS process!

  8. Congrats! That's really fast if you just filed in August. It's is Memphis but they haven't sent it there I don't think yet I'm not sure. So maybe ours will be the same.

Thanks! I was really shocked. I kept reading the email over and over again and looking at the update online because I couldn't believe it! I thought the next step would've been waiting for an interview. I'm definitely not complaining but this is the first really great experience that I've had with USCIS.

  9. Good News!! My husband received the below email notification this afternoon! I couldn't believe it when I saw the email. It is also updated on the website. We thought there was some type of mistake and called customer service which told us that the Greencard will arrive within 30 days. I guess that means our interview has been waived! We were originally told that Boston and other major cities take a longer time to process the AOS due to volume. As of 8/31 they were processing AOS applications from 1/1. I'm hoping this is a good sign and that others will have their interviews waived too.

    Have to start preparing...

    CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. My interview has being scheduled for December 3rd. I filed Aug 20th. I am so excited and nervous. Got my EAD yesterday was approved 21st of Oct

I had a SSN but it has a clause about vaild for work with DHS authorization. Now that I have my EAD , do I need to go to social sercurity office to get it removed .

Yes you do need to bring your EAD card to the SS office to get that removed and they will mail you a new one. My husband is going thru the AOS process and I asked this question when I was changing my name. I showed them his SS card and they said that whenever he gets his EAD card to bring it in and it will get changed.

  12. We have very similar timelines. Hopefully it means I am next in line... :(

I think you are next! Although the status changed this morning it says that the card was ordered on 10/23/15. It also says it in the case history below. I've checked the status online everyday and it was never updated. Your good news is coming! I know it!!!

  15. Hi all,

Has anybody here had a successful biometrics appointment walk-in in New York? If so, I'm curious to know what your experience was, as I am hoping to do just that when I receive my appointment letter.

    Thanks!

My husband was a walk in for his biometrics and we live in Boston. He said that at first the person that was checking the appointment letters gave him a little hard time but he was polite and kinda sweet talked his way in. Once he was in he had no trouble at all and had his biometrics taken. The lady at the counter changed the appointment date on his letter and signed it. I think you just have to try and see what happens...

  16. I don't hate anyone's success. My reply to your post was to wish you well.

I understand wbeem what you are saying. I know that you are not "hating" anyone's success OR are you "not happy" about earlier approvals. You are simply stating that it's extremely frustrating and pretty much unfair that a petition that was filed before yours is approved...whether the reason is because it's at CSC /TSC, country or any other factor. When you pay your fees and work hard to put all the documentation together for a process that should take no longer than 5 months...it wears you down a LOT. :-)
