Eventually your fiance wants to return home after marriage. Buy a ticket with a return 12 months in the future. After AOS is complete, there is a ticket ready. That is what I did . I sure if you go to a travel agent in his country, there will be even cheaper pricing.

Have you tried the WAC number on the Biometric letter?

I submitted the same time 4 years ago. Interview will probably be in April. There is not much you can do but wait. I would collect everything to get ready. I suggest you go with her for interview. They allow you in embassy andyou can interviw with her.

Yes. You can help your fiance in interview

Hi,
I would say Romania is a low fraud country. The interview was easy. I went to the interview with her. I was next to her and they allowed me to help her. They ask how we met, did I meet her parents and how many times I visited Romania. Visa was granted. Me and my wife have 30 years difference and different ethnicity. Even with this it was easy. Romanians do not tend to married outside ethnic background. Romania do not really have a multicultural society.
That being said. You need to visit her multiple times during the process. They did like it that I was there for Christmas and summers. You also should be there for the interview.
Romanians should have visa free travel to United States next year. Romania is now important to the US military. They would be like the rest of European Union. She should visit the USA. It is different. I would say Romania have more freedoms than USA.

Hi,
Gypsy and Romanians are different. In fact Romanians discriminate against Gypsies. Romania is a wonderful country. I been there 4 times with my future wife. The embassy is easy. They allows me to help her. Good luck.

I'll be having my interview there next month. I'm more nervous than before as we had to re-schedule some flights (hasty, we know) and it now means we're flying out of LA to the UK the day after the interview. Worried we'll have to get an I-551 stamp in my passport using an Infopass appointment if we manage to get approved on the spot.
What kind of questions did they ask? What was that particular office like?
Hi,
The office was quite nice. Parking is expensive in the lot across the street. Street parking is there, but hard to fine. I would leave early. Bridge traffic is a pain. Security was nice. They ask the basic questions like where do you live, how you spent birthday, how you meet and ask those questions on the I-485. You have to submit all new evidence (pictures, bills, financials, insurance). I would suggest making a copy for them yourself.
By the way, they put a hole in her AP card. It is now invalid. Hope it does not interfere with your travel plans. I would suggest you renew your passport in England if it is expiring soon.

My wife got approved this week in San Francisco. We got approved on the spot. It was painless. Look at all our evidence and a few questions and that was it. They did like the fact for any medical, dental, vision bills as evidence.

Well I will be off to Romania next week. I hope the interview goes well.
Once thing is confusing about the whole process. Every country is different. It seems like China, Philippine and other have more steps. I wish all the countries are standardize. I am not sure what are packet 3 and 4.
Good luck on everyone on this Journey as my will end soon. We all live a peaceful life with our wonderful fiancee.

In the next stage when it is approved, you need to fill out I-134 Affidavit of Support form. So I hope you have enough income or co-sponsor.

Hi,
It is nice to find someone doing the same thing I was thinking. I am trying to get a job transfer to a office in Europe. At least EU citizens are free to to travel within the European Union. It will be a great adventure. I am also tire of being away from her. Good luck in your adventure.

All the talk about food, I am missing Romania and my fiance. I cannot wait for December when I back Romania.
I hope she will like the food here in the states. There are no Romanian restaurants where I live. I cannot get mici, tripe soup, stuff cabbage, etc.
Hope she will like it here.

Hi all,
I am so confused. I just got a I-797C that they are transferring my case to Texas Service Center to process my application. It is to better serve me in a timely manner according to the notice. I always thought CSC was faster or are they handling influx of other applications. I hope this does not happen to someone else here.
-
Also, dont most transfer happen many months into the process. My one is transfer in about 3 weeks after submit the K-1 application.
I do not think my fiance can handle anymore time being apart. She is getting restless and is going nuts. Lucky December is around the corner when I there for the holidays.

I think you should delay your application for the K1 visa. Build some income before applying. The public charge rule will hit you when you apply for the 2 year Green Card AOS after your marriage, if the visa is approve.
