  1. Hi guys, need you help here, thank you for any input in advance

My legal status F1 international student OPT will expired Nov.1 2015, and I am beneficiary on Green Card based petition. I just heard today that I cannot have adjust of status in the US because no matter what if I got EAD or not due to the green card interview date is beyond Nov.1 2015 of my legal status. Is that true?

Basically, next VB out will be on my PD, and 60-90 days EAD must issued, and I will have it. It doesn't make sense to me, I got EAD which I can legally work and stay in the US, why I should have maintain legal status like F1 international student till the green card interview?

    Online waiting, millions thanks!!!!

Similar to my situation, my OPT expired on June 1st and I should have the interview in September.

The firm I am working for transferred me to the London's branch and here I am waiting for my PD to become current and for my case to be transferred from Italy to London. My wife is still in NY.

  2. OK guys my question to u is that I have changed my consulate because I'm moved out of my country and request has been processed as well.yesterday I got email from nvc they have changed my case number but now I can not login with new case number n invoice..any one had similar experience?

How long did it take to have the consulate changed? I sent an email 3 weeks ago and I am afraid it is going to take a lot of time.

  3. I'm not really sure about it. It looks like they haven't started scheduling interviews for July yet. I specifically asked about it and the representative confirmed they haven't, and pointed out for some reason about the visa number which is, of course, unavailable for me in June. Sometimes their answers are really confusing.

This is actually a good news. Keep us posted as I think you have the latest PD in the forum, and given the recent comment by Oppenheim (VB will likely slow down), knowing you are included in July will be a great news.

  4. I think the early october fillers should call first but there isn't none in this forum to told us if they called to ask

Well...beside the fact that I don't think having an earlier PD would make any difference in timing, you have a Oct 15 PD, that's pretty early, why don't you try giving a call?

If everybody waits for someone else to call, we will never find out.

  5. Actually, you don't understand what I am saying.

Anyone can call NVC just to screw up someone else. Regardless, wouldn't you waste 20 seconds of your time to answer 2 questions for security reasons? The problem always arise when people get screwed. Then, they wonder why security questions were not asked.

I know and agree that they should be professional at all times, but I read on this very forum of people asking over and over to the same agent when their interview will be scheduled, thinking that they were just mean because they will not give any info away. Well...if they don't have a scheduled interview on their terminals, they cannot make one up for the applicant because this person keeps asking. They will be just staying on the phone (hence: long waiting time to talk to an agent) because people keep asking questions over and over and over and over and over and over again pretending to have their problems solved when on the other end of the line they cannot do anything about it

  6. NVC always requests for case number and details of both beneficiary and petitioner, can one really have those details and hold on for that long call only to be pretentious? Who would have the case number apart from the people involved? Am just confused please explain.

Same reason I want to wait till June, I am sick of hearing scheduling has not commenced. I hope NVC commences scheduling soon. Good luck to us all.

Well, with all due respect, why would you be bothered by them asking for a couple of questions that take no more than 20 seconds but that somehow guarantee that on the other side of the phone there are the right people?

I have seen people posting their case numbers on this very website and other forums, technically I would be able to call and mess their things up, or send an email to NVC to change agent.

I am sorry but but I really don't understand the sense of this critique.

Also, try to put yourself in their shoes, with people calling, begging, screaming, at them thinking they are the very reason why applicants are away from their loved ones. Some of them are even too nice (imaging the conversations with some people from this forum...), I would go out of mind.

  7. Well, to complete all the 2013 filers the cut off date should advance 1 month for each month until the end of the fiscal quarter - the same speed it has been advancing in the past 5-6 months.

If now it is supposed to slow down...I would imagine that it will take 1-2-3 more months to complete the 2013 filers. At this point, let's hope they will be completed by the end of the calendar year.

This is a perfect message for those who complain because the VB moving ONLY one month and for those who predict (or better: they are sure about it) 3-6-9 month movements

  8. I don't have original doc, one more thing they indicate me to bring marriage certificate that I already send to nv, I don't understand whats going on,they missed my marriage certificate?? plz help about this

    The official website clearly states:

You must send photocopies of all required civil documents to the NVC.
You must submit the originals (or certified copies) and a photocopy of each of your required civil documents to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.
Why did you send the original documents to NVC?
Call your Embassy and ask how to solve it. I hope you did not sent your passport but only the photocopy of it.
