  1. Do you have a photo copy of the Original certificate.. at the consulate you need to provide copy of all the civil documents (if you already submitted original)... I think this one is a mistake from NVC.. if you have another original then bring it to the interview... also nowadays due to computer record keeping very easy and convenient to obtain Marriage certificates from urban affairs office

I do have a notarized copy of the certificate.

    I hope it's just a mistake!!

And in India it's quite hard to obtain a new certificate. at least thats what i have heard :(

    also,

the address on my P4 is my wife's U.S. address.

Shouldnt it be my indian address?

  2. The algorithm used to create the prediction is based on all of the data coming in from VJ members.

The analysis of the data shows the average time between last scan and Case Complete is 50.93 days. The margin of error in this is 2.09 days. The current relationship between last scan date and Case Complete is 84.31% strong.

I am not sure how it works for a checklist, however, I would assume that the day they receive your response to the checklist would be your new last scan date.

I would like to be able to give you your predicted CC based on your last scan date. If you could Private Message me, I would be happy to give you a mathematical prediction.

    Teach me Biostatistics!!

  3. I have done my medical yesterday and received the report on the same day

I was asked for the vaccine documents and I reported that I had none. So the physician wrote a prescription for the list of vaccinations required..the following are the list of vaccinations which i have revived.1.MMR 2.Varicella 3. Influenza but the 4 th one "Tdap vaccine" was not available with them and the doctormentoned the same in medical sheet "Tdap vaccine not available", Dr said this vaccine is shortage in india and its not a problem..Actually this 4 vaccines are enough for us embassy..iam little worried whither i have to get this vaccine or is there is any problem at interview..

Hi which city did u get your medical done in?

  4. I SEE THREE N/As. I'm so relieved. I really want to thank everyone on this forum for their support and guidance. When my case went to NVC, I was in the states (on valid B-1 Status) and had the option of adjusting my status. I had a few more months of school left and I decided to go for consular processing. I had read really old threads when NVC was a 30 day game. I came back a month before my I94 expired and send our papers. We did slack a lot and I advise everyone against it: We filed our I-130 5 months after our marriage. Our case was at NVC in April but we had no idea about the process and our first scan date was end of july and IV packet scan date was 23 Aug ie. we wasted four months in this process. If we were quicker, we could have saved 9 months. I had stumbled upon this monthly thread by chance and I think I would have been totally lost without Saylin's wiki and fellow VJers advice.

There is a lot of talk about the 60 day delay. This time used to be shorter. But from what I have read, spouses of Green Card holders are processed the same way now. The annual cap on their visas has been lifted and this created a huge backlog. Even though it's causing significant delays but I guess everyone has the right to meet their loved ones. 30 more days of processing for us, but it does cut down the processing delays for them which were running in years. The NVC recently hiked the Fee, the least they can do is get staffed.

I had sent in my AOS in july but got a checklist for part 13.a.1 and the most recent scan date was 1-oct-14 for the checklist.

IV Scan date was- 23-Aug-14. There are a lot of people with similar scan dates, my advice to them: consider every new day as a day less to when you will see your loved ones. Stay strong. I will call in the morning to confirm. just keeping my fingers crossed.

Many thanks to my fellow VJers, Saylin, Solenta, MSC and everyone else. I wish u guys the best.

My personal advice to everyone :

Please read Saylin's wiki very carefully.

The most important things to look for in your form to avoid a checklist:

    - Question about active military service- A lot of people skip this one and have to go through another 2 months of torture.

    - Part 13.a.1 - Fill in "Gross income" for any form except if filling "I864EZ" where we fill "Gross adjusted income"

    - Unless your lawyer is very good, please proofread every document before you sign.

    - If you are using income from someone and 1) he/she is related to you and you share a residence: Fill I864 for yourself + I864A for the member + proof of relationship + proof of common residence + proof of US citizenship of the supporting member when using I864A (I read someone got this checklist).

    - If the address is different (ie. not a household member) - Use another I864 as a joint sponsor.

    - Sign in black ink.

    - Current income is what you earn now, not what you earned a year ago. However, if your previous return is lower than the 125% cutoff, it's advisable to fill in an I864A/I864 for a household/joint sponsor anyway. I had read somewhere that NVC is notorious for asking for additional support especially in borderline income cases when the last years return has been marginally below the 125%. ( Please correct me if wrong)

  5. Hey everyone

I have question my AOS scan was aug 15 and iv sep 26 and both got reviewed at same time and got checklist for AOS part 6 13a.1 as everybody getting here. So my question is can i request them to review before 60 days because its only that part they have to review otherthing is clear. So i can get early cc and interview dat as our anniversary is coming in January i want to be with him

Hi, it's highly unlikely that they would do it. but i guess u could email an expedite request.

I am in the same boat. AOS Scan August 23, spoke the a rep and they put a supervisor review request. But i have an AOS Checklist scanned on Oct 1. I hope they review them soon.

In your case, what it the earlier date or the latter date when they reviewed you documents together?

  6. That's cool! I ve never been to the actual frankfurt just to the airport. :content:

Good luck again on the paper work.

Im on hold with them. I'll insist on speaking to a supervisor this time.

    Thanks for ur advice!

Please call back and try to speak with a supervisor. These reps are always just "saying" to do things but they don't actually do them. I wouldn't sit tight until I get through to a supervisor, if I were you.

  7. Just called NVC, the Rep said its unusual and she put a supervisor review request. However, she did not connect me to a supervisor, she said it's the same if she puts the request or the supervisor does it. I don't know how true that is.

But I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they havent lost my papers :(

I think they will go with your last scan date of Sep 3rd. You shouldn't be very far off at all. Hang in there.

IV scan date 23 august. Nothing yet. This is so disheartening.

Did u call them? Even ur 60 days waiting is over. Call them and talk to a supervisor.

NVC is already into 1st week of Sep scan dates. It's high time you call them and demand an update... They just can't give you that 60 day B**S*** anymore!!!
