  2. Hello my Haitian fellows!! I just wanted to share something new that I ve heard and make sure that is true. I ve been waiting for packet 3 almost a month now and I tried several times to email the embassy about receiving it vie email. They responded to me couple days after saying that packet 3 are now available online and just follow the guidelines. I still wanted to have the hard copy and the original letter with the case number and everything but I was told today that they do not send packet 3 anymore with the new system and therefore we should be able to follow the instructions online, assemble all the paperwork, schedule the appointment and bring them all to the interview. Also the step of going to Haiti messenger sending documents to them is no longer required!! She told me that they are trying to make it easy for us. So, is anybody else can confirmed that they are going tru the same thing?

    Your input is greatly appreciated!!

  3. They really need to rewrite that letter because we had the hardest time understanding what they wanted. I visited him before we got the letter and so I followed all the guides from here which really helped because I would have been lost if I'd just tried to submit the stuff the letter says.

    Here's what we submitted

    *Medical Results

    * 2 Additional passport photos (I think it was just 2)

*Affidavit of Support - the I-134 and the supporting documents

    - My 1040 & W2 from 2013

    - Letter from my employer & 2 paystubs

    - Letter from my bank & 2 bank statements

    *Evidence of ongoing relationship

    - My plane tickets from latest visit

    - Additional pictures including me with his family: 10 more (included 5 in original petition)

    - Whatsapp chat logs - 100+ pages (did not include any in original petition)

    - New letter of intent to marry from me

    - Letter from pastor about officiating our wedding

    - Email chain between landlord and I about adding him to my lease

    - Letter from my mom to him about her being excited to meet him

    - Hand drawn picture from my niece showing the family with everyone labeled including him

He took extra documents with him and they told him that they didn't need anything more because the CO had everything that he needed to make his decision. They also returned his police certificate with the interview packet but I'm not sure if that was because he also turned in a different police statement pertaining to a time he was detained while they established his identity (Yep, I hate that box that you have to check if you've ever been detained even if you weren't charged. I lost a lot of sleep over that.) So I'm not sure if you NEED that or not.

Thank you for your input!! im waiting for 2 weeks on packet 3 and wanted to get ahead of it. i emailed them several times to get it in my email they never responded back!! Such an horrible service!! Also with the new system do you have to wait back for package 4 for interview or just schedule it urself after u pay the visa at sogebank?

  4. Did you send the email to the papcons@state.gov email address?? The embassy received my case on 10/09. I emailed them on 10/13 with me and my fiance's information (case number, address, DOB, email address). Then I called the 703 number on 10/15 requesting that they email me packet 3. I received packet 3 via email 6 business days after the first email. This won't hurt to try. Here's the format I used:

I am writing regarding case #.

The National Visa Center informed me that it has been forwarded to your offices in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I would like to know if you have received it as of today.

Regarding this case, I would like to request that the packet 3 be sent to us via email rather than via regular mail. Below please find the information pertaining to this case. Thank you!

    1. Beneficiary name. Date of Birth:

    2. Case Number:

    3. Address:

    4. Email Address:

    5.Petitioner name Date of Birth:

    6. Email Address

Please email the packets to: me, the Petitioner, at @gmail.com; and/or to name, the Beneficiary at @yahoo.fr

Thank you for the reply and looking forward to getting the packet 3 by email! Thank you!

    Sincerely,

I did everyhting possible. The problem is that they have not received my case yet and it has been shipped since oct 9th and DHL confirmed it was delivered. Its more than two weeks now and they still did not receive my case. Thank you for the format , I ll definitively use it. I have been emailing with them back and fourth about this and I m just waiting for one more week to take action. NVC also email me a proof of that they actually send it and I can forward that to the embassy for further investigation. Hopefully something will come up next week.

    Thank you

  5. Thanks for the email address I'll try that one. It took us about 2 weeks for our status to change from in transit to ready on the ceac website. I want my fiancé to get the medical done and over with but have to wait for packet 3 obviously. It will come for us we all just have to be patient and have faith.

Thank you for your moral support! I was just worried that it was not normal for more than two weeks. Hopefully something will come up next week!!

  6. @JR yes i received the letter and confirmed with NVC. been emailing with the embassy but nothing serious they be telling me except for things I already know. I wonder if this ever happened to someone for that long since the average time is 6 days. NVC told me they will send me a confirmation email within 7 days to forward to the embassy if the status remains the same. they keep telling to go on the website check the status on every email, those people at the embassy dont know a thing!! really sucks

  7. mine was sent from nvc since the 9th october, tracked it and it was delivered but status still remains in transit! emailed them and they said they have not received it yet what should do? helpp please it s more than 2 weeks now! also for the email try to use the new one they might get back at you support@ustraveldocs.com

Im worried any advice would be appreciated

  8. My package left NVC yesterday, I tried the DHL trick I was told and nothing, it there another way to try and tack a DHL package without an actual package number

Wait another to try. But what I do is play with the date NVC gave you that the package left. For example if they told you they sent it the 21st try 20nd since that is the date they actually created the invoice for DHL. Try EXP 21 OCT 2014A bet 20 to 21 or 21 to 22

  9. Hello guys!!

My case was sent to Haiti embassy since the 9th of October, when I tracked the package via DHL, they confirmed that the package for NVC has been delivered for this date. Therefore, my status on CEAC website still says IN transit to the consulate. I e-mailed the consulate a day ago about this inquiry and yet they told me they haven't received my case. I am a little bit worried about this situation since I checked other Haitian people timeline saying it took from 3 to 6 days for the consulate to receive the case and change the CEAC status. Any input on this situation would be appreciated. Do you think it is normal?

Transition to a New Visa Appointment, Payment and Delivery System

    September 22, 2014

On October 11, 2014, the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti will transition to a new online system which changes the way applicants schedule appointments, pay fees, and receive documents.

The new process has been implemented at U.S. Embassies worldwide, and is designed to be more convenient and user-friendly.

The decision criteria for issuing immigrant and non-immigrant visas will not change.

The cost of a non-immigrant visa will not change.

Starting October 11, 2014, applicants should visit www.ustraveldocs.com to schedule their interviews, get information about the documents they will need, and obtain payment instructions.

Notable Improvements under the new system:

Increased number of locations where you can pay your visa application fee.

Free passport and document delivery services.

Easier ability to re-schedule an appointment or schedule group appointments.

Expanded call center service will now respond to both immigrant and non-immigrant visa inquiries, and will be free of charge.

We will continue to provide information and updates on our Embassy website in the coming weeks: http://haiti.usembassy.gov/.
