  1. Hi everyone, i posted a few updated details on my case below. Dwheels can you please update my interview date. Also, I have two quick questions:

    1. when i went to register my appointment online it stated we had choose the exact interview time listed in our letter, which was 7:00am, but the earliest time listed was 9:00am. We will still show up at the appointed 7:00am, but will this be an issue on the day of our interview because the times do not match?

    2. The only medical appointment available was for 5/29 and my interview is 6/5 approximately 7 days apart. Do you think this is cutting it way too close? The nurse said this should be enough time but I am still a bit hesitant.

    CC: 4/9

expedite requested at Kingston Embassy: 4/23

    expedite approved: 5/5/2015.

    Case sent to embassy: 5/8/2015

    Case arrived at Embassy: 5/11/2015

    Received Interview date & P4: 5/13/2015

    Medical: 5/29/2015

    Interview: 6/5/2015

No it will not effect your interview on that date... The same thing happened to me . so I called the phone number . they advised me that the website is only for dhl registration. My appointment is at 7:30... I was worried about the same thing. There is nothing to worry about.
  2. Once we register with DHL, are we to attach and email details to kingstonIVappointment@state.gov as my country portal page states? I see the last update is 2013, so not sure if that info is current

no you don't attach anything. I didn't attach anything. I called the embassy number as well to ensure that I was doing the right thing.

  3. How do we know if "READY" means much? I got "READY" 2 days after scheduled interview and after 1 day "in transit". DHL showed packet leaving the day after interview was scheduled and arriving 4 days later. So "READY" was there while the package traveled for 2 more days. Someone else in Germany got "READY" next day without any time "in transit". Either packets are sent before interview date is officially available or the status can turn to "READY" before the documents arrive at the Embassy.

I tracked our package... Dhl shows that it was recieved. All embassies aren't the same maybe. But for those of us at the embassy in Jamaica our package left yesterday and arrived today. That is why is shows ready for us. It not a accurate statement but it makes a little sense. Lol.

  4. Do we have to register our interview date cause I didn't see that in my letter

This is the link ...https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv... its not for your appointment. I thought so too. Its just for DHL registration. You will still have to put in your appointment time and date...your time might be there. Mines wasn't so I called the embassy phone number and she told me choose any time because it was just for DHL delivery.

  5. Last week Thursday I filed a expedite request (medical reasons) for the Kingston embassy as i saw there were individuals with 3/13 CC's still waiting for interviews. My CC was 4/9, I received an email that my expedite request was under review. I did see yesterday that many people received interview dates for Kingston. I have heard some say that requesting an expedite can sometimes delay your case, just wondering if anyone has ever heard the same?

Dwheels76 can you please add me to spreadsheets as well CC 4/9 :)

A few us here received our interview dates ... As well as requested expedites to our cases. Mine was denied on the same day my interview was scheduled on 4/24/15...I called NVC yesterday as well as a few others that where waiting on the Kingston embassy and received our interview dates. No it did not delay our case. Please don't listen to what is being said. Expedite is just for that reason to speed up your process ... They can not delay your case for that request. And we waited atleast 30-35 days to be scheduled.

  6. If you register your interview on the embassy website isn't your appointment time supposed to be there? 7:30 a.m. was the appt time but all of the appoints start at 9 a.m.. The website states that they will not accept applicants that enter different information... did anyone else have this issue when attempting to register your interview appointment?

  7. So My Expedite Request was denied...

Basically what I get from this is because his case is completed and they are waiting to schedule his interview they will not expedite his interview apt??? Ok. And I still haven't gotten a response from my Congressman.

    This was the response....

    Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: ************ filed by ************ on behalf of *************.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate has denied your request for expeditious processing of this immigrant visa petition. This petition will continue processing at the NVC. Once the NVC receives and reviews the required fees and documents, a visa interview appointment will be scheduled based on capacity at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

For further information regarding NVC processing, please visit: http://nvc.state.gov/.

The NVC completed its processing of **********visa petition.

The petition is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in KINGSTON, JAMAICA. When an interview appointment is scheduled, the petitioner, principal applicant, designated agent, and attorney of record (if applicable) will be notified.

  8. Thanks, dwheels76! I think I am about to jump off the nearest ledge! I have emailed the US Embassy and ask the Congressman to follow up with the Embassy as well for answers - so I can stop my constant thinking about when am I going to get an interview.

Thanks again for the support! ;)

Unfortunately for me... My Congressman stated that they have not gotten any response back from NVC or the Dept. of State ... She stated that it usually takes a couple of weeks (30-45 days) ... I am not feeling so positive anymore.

  9. Hi all,

Just got back from the embassy (Jamaica). Got there about 8:30am and got in about 9:15, registered sat and waited. Called my number about 9:45, delivered my medical packet and passport and was fingerprinted. Asked who was filing for me and i answered. Was told to have a seat and waited for 25-30 mins. Called back to the window again where i took an oath and signed a document attesting that all i have presented is true and was asked if i ever lived abroad, how long i have known my spouse, if we have any kids, if i had any pictures. Showed her a mini album i made and she scanned thru quickly and gave me back the pics and said thats all i can go home. I asked if i will be contacted and she said yes u have registered with dhl and I left the building approximately 10:30am. I suppose it was approved as they kept the passport and i was not handed any green or yellow slips. Even though i waited a bit outside once inside it was a smooth and relatively quick process

    Congrats!!!!!

Guys my cc was 01/05 and i just did my interview last monday. What i notice when i was there was that they finish interviews at midday after that i guess its just paper work and processing after the visa packages. So i dont know if thats why its taking so long for kibgston to open interview slot.

I saw the shortest wait this year here was 37 days and some waited 57 days. Our dates are coming... my cc on March 12th...

  10. I know this question may have been asked already but can you let me know how you went about completing your expedite request since we have the same embassy. My cc was 4/9 but based on what I am seeing with the Kingston Embassy I should expect a long wait and looking into an expedite.

You send the expedite request to

    NVCexpedite@state.gov... Include case number ...the petitioners Name & phone;

Beneficiary Name; D.O.B, and two phone numbers for the petitioner as well as your phone number. Then include your reason for requesting your case to be expedited.
