  1. Hello VJ family !

Our case was sent to CSC few days ago , my fiancee and i want to know about the time it takes to get the NOA2 , we know that CSC does not take too much time as TSC , we want to know when we need to start the financial documents , because we will use a co-sponsor as well and we want to have a general idea .

    Thank you !

    ps: I am in Morocco

  2. A countries visa requirements are one thing, your green-card is another. The green-card shows your status as it applies to being in the USA, just as a passport identifies only the country in which you are a citizen. A visa on the other hand allows a citizen of another country a temporary visit/stay in a foreign country. You are not yet a citizen of America if you hold a green-card. I suspect you should apply for your visa's with the passport from your mother country.

  3. If he has ever hit you or threatened you contact a women's shelter. They will assist you with everything you need e.g. a secret location to live, assistance in getting a job, restraining orders and a divorce. He also signed a contract with the gov't when he sponsored you. So if you get any public assistance the gov't can go after him. Just get out to a shelter, they will make you feel very welcome and loved.

As a footnote this topic is appearing a lot here on the forum. Women that applying to immigrate to America should take heed and look at the man they are thinking of spending their lives with. It surely is a very scary situation when you find yourself in such a position. It sounds easy to tell someone to leave. Yet when you have no status in the USA yet, have problems w/ the language perhaps, no job, no money etc.... a daunting assignment. But your life is more important than all these thinks. I think the shelters will also provide you with an airline ticket back to your mother country. Be careful ladies. And to the OP, I wish you the best.

  4. I hope you are not on this site any longer pondering what to do... As you should be in a womens shelter by now.

But in case your still playing around I would suggest you Google " How to tell if your living with a controlling person". If you read up on this subject you will certainly see all the benchmarks signs of a controller. You will also learn the chances of these people changing is extremely rare. In fact you will read from healthcare professionals that you should not try to FIX a controller, but to get out.

I wish I could tell you tge number of times I have had an employee in this typeof situation. The odd thing is that the victim will mkve from one abusive person to another like they NEED to be abused.

Not to offend but spitting in someones face is a form of physical assault. So you need to exam your own behavior when you become frustrated or angry. Go check the doors on your home... You will find the all have hinges installed. This is by design..... So you can enter or leave anytime you desire to.

As I suggested before and you ignored it...contact a shelter as your first step. Don't bother with the police now. The shelter can help you with that. The shelters are secret lications. He will not know where you are. Wordy about all the rest after your in the shelter. You will find the shelter very helpful.

The health insurance and all that is just another card in the controllers deck. He will threaten you with everything possible in order to control you. Don't worry about having missed out on a previous job opportunity... Controllers do not allow their victims to work. Life will only get much much better from here if you would only listen. Remember to Google how to identify a controller.

Meanwhike, get iff this site and get busy!! Good luck to you

  5. You should really listen to the good advice you are getting here. It will only take a few minutes to locate a shelter. Thew local police have advocates that will help you find a women's safe house. Once there they will help you with all your needs e.g. a job housing, counseling or a plane ticket back to your home country. Once you know you are with an abuser you MUST get out as this is the behavior they know best. Isn't your life worth something to you? These people are controllers and the ultimate control is to kill. He needs help and you need help, I hope you will seek it.

  6. For couples who reside together outside the USA they historically give an unofficial auto-expedite and you normally see a petition approval in 2 months or less.

Gosh that is great to hear!? hope it holds true for my case as well. Thanks so much for the input.

  7. Now you all really have me baffled. Perhaps I did not explain clearly. Myself and my bride live in Vietnam. We mailed our I-130 to the Chicago lockbox facility as we can not do consulate direct filing in Vietnam, nor can we go to a local office in the USA as we do not live there. So our I-130 was excepted by the Chicago Lock Box Facility on Sept 5, 2014. Then we got a status update that our application had been accepted and forwarded to "My local office..." their term, not mine. And you say this is only done when there is a problem. It was my understanding the the Chicago lock box facility just does not do much of the process at all that it is indeed sent somewhere else. So my question remains, how does one find out where the application is. I understand there are offices in Dallas, LA etc. But how to find out where my app is, or does it even matter.

  8. We submitted ourI-130 to the Chicago facility and received notification that our application had been received by "My local office". How can one determine where my local office is. We both live in Vietnam, but my legal residence and home when and if we are approved will be in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.

  9. If you've been convicted or charged of a violent crime, if you've been convicted of child or spousal abuse in family and/or criminal court, if you've been convicted previously of fraud.

Filing for bankruptcy is not a reason, having a restraining order during a divorce is not a reason either. As the US Citizen, they're concerned if you're going to abuse/harm your fiance(e), any potential children, that you can afford to care for your fiance(e), and that you're not a convicted criminal with a history or repeat offenses.

Get a criminal background check, and contact an attorney for a free consult. Many will consult for free.As the US citizen asking for your own records you do not have to pay for them, however paying for the service is usually faster.

The town/city where you were married will have the record of your marriage and/or divorce. Call the Clerk's office in the county courthouse that serves that town/city. Even if she divorced you or had it annulled they would need to maintain the record, as your marriage record is there. Even an annulment would have a record of thus.

Your advice on checking with the court clerk in the city/county you were married in may not suffice. One can marry in one local/state and divorce in an entirly different local. All you need to do is meet the residency requirements.

  10. where in HCM city?

There are a few official stores. I have used the one in D1 on THD street, but was not real happy with them. Currently i am using KTC Co., LTD . Their address is 55 Bui Thi Xuan, also in D1. Actually there are several in D1. Another is on the street direct,y across from the park in the backpacker area. If you want that address let me know and i will look it up for you.

Before everyone gets their shorts in an uproar all of these are Apple authorized RESELLERS or SERVICE centers. We have these in the USA as well. At places such as military exchanges, Walmart etc. these ARE NOT the Apple owned stores we are accustomed to in the USA. In fact the service is completely separate from that in the USA . It is handled by Apple Singapore. Even your repair record and surveys come out of Singapore. If your under warranty there is no cost. They have done oodles of work on all my Apple products at no cost to me.

  11. Please, it is rather irresponsible to suggest you speak factually by making such an assertion without provided the source info e.g. The phone number to which you gained this false information. I had no idea this conversation would lead to this. If anyone is interested in if finding the truth PM me and I wi give you the Apple link so you can find the authorized Apple dealers in both Hanoi and HCMC. I think to much has already been said about computers on a site dedicated to US immigrations. Sorry to see you spread false information by adding credence to it by suggesting you phone Apple USA, shame on you.

    O

  12. I've just spoken to Apple Sales and they confirmed that they do not have any Apple Retail Stores in Vietnam. None. Zero. Nada. Zip.

The stores that you have used are probably their Premium Dealers. Apple provides full sales and technical support for these Premium Dealers. Keep in mind that Premium Dealers are totally different from Authorized Dealers.

Call Apple Sales USA if you have doubt.

  13. Front gear,

I hate to disappoint you, but there are indeed official stores in Vietnam. If you doubt what I say just speak to Apple USA. I use these stores all the time. Even get the Apple survey when I have. Have talked on the phone with Apple USA about a problem I had with one of the HCM stores as well. They had it resolved in minutes.

  14. I don't think there is an official Apple store in Vietnam, like in the states. Only authorized or premium dealers (like FPT, Future World, iCenter, Mac Center, etc.) that sell Apple products. The premium dealers' showrooms (FTP, Future World, iCenter) are laid out exactly like the official Apple stores in the states or other countries, down to the displays, tables, locations of the merchandise.

  15. Ed & Gina,

I suppose it is quite easy to get arrogant with others after you have found this site and have been familiar with the immigration process. And I am happy you are so proud if yourselves. So happy you made no mistakes, so so happy for you.

For your information we have tried to be careful. I don't think we have made any mistakes we can not easily recover from. Did get a little confused and sent the 864 prematurely. But I can redo it when the time comes. As for knowing the Immigrations process I was clueless how the different agencies interact and who is doing what where.

Most people on this site have been very helpful. But you folks are the exception.

But I am glad there is someone that new it all before they started. By the way, why are you even on VJ. Knowing all you two know I sure would not waste my time replying to us stupid careless folks.

  16. Not to rock the boat, but there are official Apple deers in VN. Both in Hanoi and

And HCM. However, unless you buy from them you are getting a counterfeit iPhone.

I might add, don't expect to get the great customer service from an official store here that you do in the USA. We here are handled out of Singapore and they suck.
