Yes, and it still shows "F-1" not "K-1."

Click on the timeline link provided in my signature, look for "Add/Edit My Entry", click on it. Then click on "Edit timeline." Scroll down to "visa type."

scroll up/down to "K-1," click on it. Go down to the left side at the very bottom of that long page, click on "Submit Changes." That should correct it.

You are applying for F-1 Visa instead of K-1, maybe this is the reason.

I applied K-1 not F-1,I checked on my profile，it is K-1,it is weird you see as F-1,A&B also said that to me before.

This happened with me, Brazil in my case, but at the wrong consulate. I got all worried and contacted everyone! Even the CSC! In the end the service centers don't make the decisions about which consulate it goes to (so it is beyond me why they put the consulates on the NOA2). Anyway, once it gets to the NVC they will assign it to the correct consulate without any problems.

Did it mention NVC on your NOA2? We have the problem, it just said the petition was approved and forward to Shanghai consulate, didn't mention NVC, will the case be sent to NVC? Very upset, because I see the content of the NOA2 from others are different from mine.

Today USCIS sent me a notice that they sent my package to the Dept. of State , what does this mean and how long before we hear from them for our consulate number . We applied for a K1 visa and was approved August 25 . My fiancé is from China , thank you for any information

We received the K1 NOA2 and it said the consulate is Shanghai,China, which maybe because we filled Shanghai consulate on I129F form, but actually Shanghai consulate won't process K1 petition, instead the right consulate is Guangzhou,China. Will NVC still send the petition to Guangzhou consulate? Or we need to call to correct it?

I had the same email last night. I just call USCIS and was told it was probably just a computer qliche and if

I did not here anything from the NVC in 30 day to call them at. 603-334-0700.

anyone has the experience that K1 visa status changed from NOA2 to initial review?our case was approved on 4Sep, however, this morning our case was changed to initial review status, very upset after getting this news. What does that mean? What to do next?
