My fiance is in holland (netherlands) and they do accept co sponsors. My father who makes a little more than my mother roughly 80k with no dependents is the one filling out the application. He is getting a letter from his employer etc. Was just wondering about the joint filing for taxes. if that meant it needed to be reflected some ewy on the form itself.

My income doesnt quite meet the requirements so my parents have stepped up as co sponsor. Now there is some confusion as to if one of them can sponsor or since they file taxes together if they both need to. Now they both make well above the requirements so I was just trying to see if it is required of them to file jointly because there is only room for one person on the form. If there are any links you have or information please help. Id like to get this straightened out so we can start sending things for my fiance to have ready for his intervew.

Just out of curiosity did you receive that "fake" alert like lots of us just posted about before you saw your approval email?

No, nothing until this for tonight. About 3 weeks ago while my fiance was here visiting i got a fake weird alert saying i had post decision activity saying my file was returned but a week later or less it was changed back to initial review and now we are approved.

ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK BUT WE ARE APPROVED.

My fiance got the same answer when he called them. He actually thinks it's a good thing, and that someone is working on our case, but I'm not so sure please post any updates

Just wanted to update you. I just got a new email saying my case was transferred to my local uscis facility. Basically the same one they sent my upon our initial transfer to CSC. Im convinced someone is just working on our cases now.

Has anyone received this:

On August 18, 2014, the Executive Office of Immigration Review returned this case. If your case was remanded or your appeal was sustained, we will notify you of our action within 60 days of the date of the EOIR decision.

I'm so confused now, and afraid we are denied. What does it mean?

I got this as well if anyone has any information regarding this. I called today and was told this wasnt a denial that it is still under review. I had just been transferred to CSC a week ago and got that message last night.

No. To say the least the man speaking to me didn't seem very bright. He couldnt or wouldn't even tell me where my file was. I mentioned how it had been sent from TSC to CSC and then got this. Since it had said my file was returned i asked where that meant it was returned to and he said he did not have that information. Its so discouraging. My fiance is here visiting now and all the excitement gets sucked away with this stuff.

Update: i did speak with someone at uscis and they said it wasnt a denial that it was still under review. Please let me know what you hear.

Yes, i just tried calling and they dont open until 8am. I will try calling again later. Please post if your fiance reaches through before me as i will be checking this thread frequently. So nerve racking.

I woke up just now and noticed i received the exact message. I am so confused. I may call when it is of normal hours but this doesn't make any sense and again seems so vague. We were just transferred to the California Lockbox facility and now this. i dont want to be negative but the vagueness of it is very unsettling.
