Hey everyone, I just have another general inquiry about my situation.

I live in a very rural area with basically no work opportunity's and have been supported by my parents since I left school, volunteering at nearby farm. I have never officially received any income whatsoever and have never payed tax because of this. Will this be any detriment to my K1 Visa, in any stages whatsoever? My fiance lives in a very populated city in Kansas with lot's of retail work and I'd love to be able to get started there. I will obviously be doing everything I can to acquire a job before at least my interview stage of the visa, but this has been a big question on my mind, if you had needed to pay tax, or have had to have been working for a minimum period - if anyone could give me some insight to this I would really appreciate it..

Hello everyone, I'd just like to make a few enquiries because I'm very lost and new to immigration law.

I'm Australian and 23-years old, my girlfriend is American and 21-years old.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for a very long time now, since 2007 - we met online and have been inseparable since. After 3-years of endless hour upon hour a day Skype calls, in 2010 I took my first visit there for Christmas for two weeks to finally meet her in person, and had a great time. Over the next couple of years we have had many continued visits - I've visited America three times now, for a total of about 4-months, and she has visited me here in Australia twice, for also a total of about 4-months.

She recently left from her trip here in Australia (less than 2-weeks ago) and we've both decided we would love to finally marry and for me to move to the US with her. I'm honestly a bit intimidated and overwhelmed on just where to start on the K1 Visa, and what's the best way of handling things.

I have a starter question first that I really need to have settled,

Are any education requirements needed to pursue the K1 Visa on my behalf? I did not graduate high-school.

Aside from this, what are some of the first steps as an Australian do I need to be prepared (or should be preparing for) while filing the K1 Visa application?
