A friend of mine is beginning cancer treatment here in AZ. He'd like to have his wife from the Philippines to come and be with him through the treatment process. Would a B-2 medical visa be the correct visa to appy for?

1 hour ago, HRQX said:
The two I-130 petitions can be filed online while anywhere in the world: https://www.uscis.gov/i-130 Her parents must interview in Manila since preconceived intent to adjust status is illegal with B-2 visa. See INA 212(a)(7)(A)(i)(I) and INA 214(b).
They've already been to the US before and will be going to help take care of our baby and also to visit another son of theirs in the US. The trip is going to happen even if we decide not to process the I-5 for them. Also it's April of 2022 a year from now is the time frame we're talking about, mostly just gathering information at this point.

My wife wants to file for her parents, she's a dual US & Philippines citizen. We're currently living in the Philippines but plan on going back to the US next April for a while and bringing her parents with us, they currently have a 10 year multiple entry visitor visa. We're beginning to gather all the required documents while we're still in the Philippines but are wondering which would be better, apply here before we leave or after we arrive in the US?

We're filling out the I-400 for my wife and one of the questions about ex spouses is a birth date. I had a first marriage in my late teens that ended 23 years ago. I have no idea what her birth date is I know all the information for my 2nd wife but I have no idea when wife #1 was born. I've checked the divorce records, even asked old friends and searched FaceBook trying to find it. Will they accept "unknown" or make a good guess or ???

Hi again, Cindy had her interview on the 22nd and was approved!!! Her CFO is on the 4th and her ticket MNL to PHX is on May 13!!
Thank you for the help and the great guides that have been posted, it made this process not only possible but relatively easy after reading them. Only 55 days from NOA 1 to approved interview!!!
Now next month we get to start the AOS process.

Are you talking about the ceac status? Ours says "In Transit". Do we need to wait for it to change?

We just got the case and invoice numbers from the NVC, can we shedule the medical and interview yet?
Also when I went to send her the packet I realized I never made copies of it. Will this be a problem?

On Part 2 question 3 Alien Fiancee's mailing address when I mail anything to her i use this format:
Her Name
Condo # Building Name
Subdivision Name, Street Name
Brngy, City
Postal Code
What do I put on the 129 form and where? I've tried to put the subdivision and street name on line 3b but ran out of space. Same with Brngy, City. Can I just hand write it in these boxes? The Condo # and Building name is needed, without it mail won't get to her.

Her interview was Friday and the results were as expected, denied. To everyone that had helpful comments thank you.

Well, we applied before posting the question here. Or mistake. Her interview is Sept 12. Is on God's hands now. I'll post the decision when we get it.

I'm going to the Philippines this January and meeting a girl. I recently came into some money from the sale of a collectors car and returned the invite for her to come visit me. I'll be paying for both the trip and her stay here. She's currently unemployed after resigning for a four year stretch in a call center. How likely is the visa to get approved and is there anything we can do to help insure that it gets approved? I still plan on and have the tickets to go there in January.

She'll actually be staying at my place so hotel receipts wouldn't exist unless we took a weekend trip. Which would be very doable if that would help.
Also she'll be coming Oct 8 through Dec 10. Could we start filing while she's still here?

This may be a silly newbie question but it seems that most of the K-1 visa people had their first meeting in a foreign country. Can your first meeting take place here in the US? Originally we were going to just meet in the Philippines in January but I came into some extra money from the sale of a car and am paying for her to come here for two months. Can we file with this meeting or should we wait to file when I go this January?
