  1. Finally got my approval on Sept 16/2014. I received the I-797 approval notice on the 23rd but in the body of the text it states " The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed CONSULATE"

I called the TSC and was told they sent it to the NVC on the 19th. I called the NVC and they have not received it yet. They say they wont see it for 5 weeks. I have heard others say it only takes a week or 2 to get there and be processed.

I hope the text on my approval doesn't somehow sidetrack my case and extend the processing again.

This system is really screwed up!

  2. I just received my I-797 approval notice that my I129F petition for fiancee has been approved, with dates valid from 09/16/2014 to 01/15/2015.

This was sent to me by the USCIS Texas Service Center. I received 2 copies dated Sept 16, 2014 and Sept 17, 2014.

The first line in the body text says "The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed CONSULATE."

Is this normal on other I-797 approval forms from the Texas Service Center? I called the USCIS and was told they sent the approval to the NVC on 9/19/2014.

When I called the NVC I was told that they won't get the package for at least 5 weeks. Is this normal nowadays?

My I-129F was filed on Feb 03,2014 and it took till now to get the approval. I am worried that the text stating that it has been sent to the Consulate is an error that will sidetrack my file causing more delay.

This process is taking WAYYYYY too long and is very frustrating.

  3. Thanks for the reply.

Upon looking at the letter they sent me I found the actual date was Feb 05,2014 so I am a few days closer.

At the 5 month point I called and was told that they were running 60 days behind, which would put mine at 7 months. I checked 2 weeks later and was told that they had only moved about 1 week further down the list, so that would put me at over 7 months.

Unfortunately there is no way to actually talk to the people processing the forms so the canned responses are about the only info we can receive , which is practically useless.

Some people have said they got theirs in 2-4 months.

  4. My I129-F was submitted on Jan 30, 2014. The SRC number was issued on Feb 10, 2014.

My case is still showing in process. I have called a few times unfortunately you can't talk to anyone that actually knows any specifics regarding the workflow or status of cases.

Could others with cases pending at the TSC provide an update with date sent in, case status, etc?

It would be great to have some info from others that are in the same boat as me so we can see what is really happening.

The USCIS says the average is now 6 months as of June 30th. My case has now been in process for over 6 months.

    Thanks
