thank you jcruzazucar. the problem is my police certificate is without my parents' name on it which is required by nvc, but malta police headquarter insists that is the standard tamplete they issued no need to put parents name. this is killing me, i really don't know how to do it know.
Hey! Can anyone let confirm that on the police report the parents' names must be listed??? This is the first time I have seen this requirement. Thanks.

USCIS approved my case on Oct 30 and shipped to NVC on Nov 4th as per their website. Still NVC says they haven't received the case yet. Does anyone know how long it will take to reach NVC ?
Hey! USCIS approved my case on Oct. 15 and shipped it on Oct. 24th. Yesterday, I called the NVC and they said they received it on Nov. 10th and that it can take up to 42 days get get a case number.
I am hoping to have it in the next two weeks.

Hey,
I would highly suggest contacting your local Senators office and ask for help. What's the latest news from USCIS?
Hope you get approved soon!!! I know how it can be

Approved 10/24/14. I cannot even explain how happy I am. I wish best of luck to everyone else who is till waiting.
Congratulations!!! I was approved on 10/15/2014 and my file just got shipped on 10/24/2014 (quick). Time to prepare for the NVC

Congrats!!
I hope everyone gets one's approval soon...do all people still waiting take an additional background check?
Hey,
Yes, I was under additional background check and it felt like it was forever. My husband and I have never been in trouble with the law (not ever a speed ticket)! Plus, my husband had a school visa approved back in 2011 to attend a MBA program and he never overstayed. I think that some people are just randomly selected.
I contacted my senator last week (October 6th - but never received a response) and submitted a request for ombudsman (October 13th - only received the standard response that they received my request). I don't know if either of these groups helped me but I would recommend it ... just in case.

I got approved today!!! Best of luck for everyone who is still waiting.

the status now changed to: On October 2, 2014, the post office returned your document I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN as undeliverable. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from October 2, 2014, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.
what does this mean??? status doesn't say application is approved, so I doubt that it'll be the NOA2
Wow! Did you try to call the USCIS? I am wishing you the best ... and that they sent you the NOA2. Please keep us updated.

we are still waiting for background checks too and probably won't hear till Nov 15th (according to them)
pd Feb 11
WoW! You have a rough idea of how long... How do you know that you probably will not hear anything until Nov 15th? They will not tell us anything.

Hey,
I am a Feb. filer (2.24.2014) and I am still waiting for our NOA2. I know there is not many of us left but it's nice to hear from you. I submitted an E-Request and just received an message saying that our background checks have not been completed and that we have to keep waiting!! Over the past couple of months its become harder and harder to just wait as my life is flying by.
Its nice to know that there are still some of us out there.... I look forward to your continued posting/updates and positive messages.

it's heartbreaking to read so many of our stories.
i still wonder if folks who applied after us (feb, march, april ... 2014) are also getting the security checks thing
Hey,
This is my first post but I have been reading these threads for months and am at a all time low. I am a Feb. filer (2.24.2014) and I am in the exact same situation as you guys. I submitted an E-Request and received a very similar message about having to wait on our background checks. At this point, I have lost so much faith and it's become hard at times to even image us starting our lives in the USA. I just wanted to say that by seeing you (california_luv) approved I have a little more hope that some day will be our day!!!! Keep posting updates everyone and positive messages.
Thanks
