  1. Hello everyone!!... So, i submitted my application for N400 last Dec 15. Yesterday i received a mail from USCIS, its Form I-797C, Notice of Action. They said the application has been received by their office and in process. It also says that upon receipt of all required Record Checks, I will be scheduled to appear for an interview.. My question is, will they send me letter for biometrics appointment? Or the next mail will be my interview appointment??? Im confused!.. When i check my status online, it says they send me letter on Dec 22 for my biometrics appointment... but thats not what i received yesterday..

Thanks for your input and help!

Advance Happy New Year to all!

hi, just want to update.. im one of the March filer; March 6, 2017 they recieved my application then around July this year they transfered my account to local office from California, and just last week out of the blue i recieved a letter of extension from texas center then next day they update the status to "card being produce" and yesterday it says they mailed me the new card, finally :) i hope everyone who still waiting will get the same favorable results soon! thank you!

Same thing happened to my case. After card being produced, it change to "card was picked up by USPS" (with tracking number)......And today i finally received my GC... so happy!!worth the wait. ..

    There's no such thing.

When your extension letter expires, you can make an InfoPass appointment to get a stamp in your passport, which then allows you to travel normally.

I have a question. Is the infopass or the stamp only good for 30days? I have plan to travel this November and i already got an appointment for infor pass on Jul 2nd. Thanks!

Lol ... I wish! My case got transferred to Texas Center, I got notification in the mail yesterday. Don't know if that's good sign or bad

Just to make sure that i can travel outside the country.. it looks like this process is getting worse and worse.. I've been waiting for 15months since i submitted my application...

    Hello Folks:

My fiance' is here on her k-1, and I am curious when she can start work.  When should she apply for her SSN after we get married or can she apply now before we get married?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Its up to you. She can apply for SSN before or after you get married. The earlier the better.

Then apply for adjustment of status (AOS) together with EAD (employment authorization document or work permit) and AP (advance parole - so she could travel outside the country).
