Hi everyone,
I am new to the VJ, but already learning so much from the discussions. I have a question that maybe one of you can help.
My husband is a USC, and I am Turkish , we both live legally in Paris, France for 7 years now. We filed I-130 in Paris after we got married (in Paris).
We were working in the same company which is now closed.. so we are both unemployed. Financially we are OK as we both got good indemnity from the company (thanks to french law).. anyway, the issue is that we do not want to live in paris anymore, he need to goto US for his new job, and I prefer to goto Istanbul where my parents live. We got NOA1 on July 7, 2014.. still waiting for NOA2.. so we do not know if we can change our address to a different country while the I-130 is still in process..
does anyone have any idea??
many thanks!

hey there fellow July filer! From what I have read you just got your NOA1 hard copy and not the NOA2. NVC comes after your I130 is approved and have your NOA2.
Hi MrsChua, thanks for the info.. Looks like i m jumping ahead ... The whole thing is very confusing... Hope all will go smoothly.. Thanks again..

Finally...some good news in this ever-stressful process! Thank you.
Hi, so how did it go for you finally??
i am in the same situation.. and very puzzled about what to do.
my husband and I both living in paris now, but both quit our jobs. he need to go back to US for his job, and I rather go back to Istanbul to be with my parents.
but, i don't know if it is a wise thing to change the country during the process. or we can ask a neighbor to check the mail for us.. but i dont know if thats such a good idea either.. so i am lost!
help, please...
thanks

Hi guys,
we have sent our I-130 on July 2 (from Paris) and received the NOA1 on July 8. PD July 7 at California ( funny how fast you learn all these acronyms :PD, NOA, RFE
Today, I called the NVC, and they told me that they have not received my file yet. she said it takes al least 25 days...
wish all of us a fast and smooth journey!
