  1. well i was just referring to that thing all people flying in the US go thru, both citizens and non-citizens, different lines. where you get called up by an officer and come up to his little "booth" and give him ur passport to check and he asks you questions about your US visit. I've only before only gone to either participate in an exchange program or to visit and not on a visa quite as k1. My friend said they stopped her to ask more questions than already do when they check you. They also take fingerprints and a scan of ur eyes

I wish I had seen this post when you originally started it. It seemed like NOBODY understood what you meant lool, even though you explained it as clear as crystal. As soon as I started reading the responses I was like ' confused face', that's not what they are asking lol. I'm not sure if they'll 'stop you', stop you because it's clear what your intentions are and it's evident that you have all the legal documents you need to stay for the allotted 90 day period in which you have to wed. Although I'm not a K-1 holder, I've travelled to the US quite a few times since my fiancé moved back September 2013. This year I've travelled 4 times and on one of my trips I only had a week back home before I flew back to America. Each time they just asked why I was there and stamped me and sent me on my way. Like I said that's not with a K-1 so that information was pointless lol. However I don't see why they'd need to stop you as they know that you're not trying to stay illegally, you're actually there with a Visa.

  2. It maybe the same name but you'll deffo need to officially change it. If the world only worked on 'spoken words' instead of 'written words', then you'd be fine lol.out loud they are the same but written, two different names. Katarzyna Smith and Kasia Smith are the same person to you but officially they are like two different people. As soon as a name is spelled differently, even by one letter, officially on documents, they can be seen as different people.

    I hope this makes sense.

    ?

  3. Thanks HDreams and Gail83. I was slightly pissed off that they didn't keep it on file or give me my p45 but it seems I don't need them anyway.

I've worked out my UK salary into dollars using the annual conversion rates and I'm half done with my forms for 1 of the three years I am filing for.

Anyways - thanks all for the help!

Well I guess it all worked out in the end.

    ?

  4. I work in the HR/payroll department for my company so I know how the the process works. They should most definitely have a copy of yours. It's impossible for you to get another original as once they're printed, they're printed. What we do, which I'm sure other companies do too, at the end of each tax year, once we've printed off the P60s (and P45s when an employee leaves) we copy each one and put them in their respective employee files. Then they get archived till we can chuck 'em out. So your employer from last year is talking out of their backside and just being awkward. Gail83 is right though, they can send you a letter, on their headed paper, with your pay and tax info which should be just as sufficient.

  5. The date hasn't stayed at Feb2nd for two months. Where did you get that info from? Just wanted to add that in September the date changed from Dec 31st to Feb 2nd. Go to Processing Times at the top of the VisaJourney webiste, look at the Alila Repored Processing Times/USCIS Service Centers, and choose TSC. It will give you a list of the previous reported processing dates.

I'm not sure why it changed in September for you, but I've been looking on the uscis website and it's been saying February throughout the WHOLE of September and I'm pretty sure August too. It's been saying Feb 2nd even though they've 'updated' the info. Smh I just think they need to one of two things (possibly even both). Either pull their fingers out and get moving or hire new people. I'm pretty sure there are a whole bunch of people who want work! They've shifted a few applications over to csc but they are still trailing behind. My fiancé is about to send our petition in, I'm scared as to think how long it will take for us and future petitioners!

  6. Hi everyone,

My fiancé (petitioner) got deployed last year and was stationed in the UK (that's how we met and he lived on base at the time), for two years prior to arriving at his now base in AZ. I'm under the impression he'll need to put the base where he was deployed to and the English one on the G-325A in regards to the address section. He thinks he doesn't have to so I just wondered what anybody else did.

Also for the employment section, does he need to put both bases he's been on. How do you put that up there as it asks for full name and address of employer. Really confused. Obviously it's still the same employer just different addresses.

    Any help would be awesome.

  7. It shouldn't be an issue.

I sent in forms that were dated a few weeks earlier than they were sent. As long as you provide up to date information and you used the current versions of the forms, you should be okay.

Also, if he is having trouble getting his birth certificate, if he has a passport he can send in scans of all of his passport pages for his proof of citizenship.

That's good then. I thought wi wouldn't be an issue but for some reason I had in my head that everything had to be within 30 days of filing.

Thank you, would've been so annoyed if I had to send him everything again!

    Thank you.

The date on the forms doesn't matter as long as everything on the form is correct on the day you submit it. They're not going to notice if the pictures are more than 30 days so don't worry about those either. Only some forms will be time sensitive like when you have to submit an I-864 later on which is valid for one year for example.

All the info will be correct on the day he sends it off. Thank you ?

  8. Ok, so my fiancé I have been trying to get the I-129F package compiled for a couple months now. I finally sent over all my documents to him (I’m the beneficiary) so he could send off the package. Unfortunately we ran into a few problems with getting his birth certificates form his parents. Time has lapsed since I sent him the forms and evidence, so all the documents have the date of 09.01.2014, which is over a month ago. So my picture was taken more than 30 days ago as well (uscis have no way of knowing that though).

So my question is, is it worth me sending him new docs with a more recent date, or is this not an issue?

    Thanks for any help.

  9. After nine long months my K1 journey has finally come to an end. It has been an emotional ride and i'm delighted to say we have been approved.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped us on our journey especially everyone who contributes to the UK Forum. Your time patience and knowledge has been invaluable.

Thanks guys see you in america

    Congratuations!

Love seeing UK beneficiaries being approved. Makes me smile knowing we are all getting the chance be happy with our loved ones!

    Very happy for you.

    :)

  10. It took us just 3 months to processed everything after we filed our application last June 2014. God is soo good to us. We got our noa2 49 days after we filed, got our MCN after 8 days we received the hardcopy and scheduled our Interview and medical last week and We are approved. My interview went so well. All the consuls asked only few questions about us maybe because i have a complete documents.Hopefully next week , i can have my Visa on hand.God bless everyone.

Oh my gosh! Congratulations! I'm every so happy fo you. You and your partner are very blessed.

  11. Yes, historically speaking. I'm only going by the current processing times. I highly doubt it will change within the next day or two. However it could, but just for now I'm going by the running trends, which I'm sure you can see TSC is in a mess.

  12. When one Service Center gets too loaded, they transfer. Transfer mean nothing in the process and shouldn't be thought about.

It means something when one Sevice Center is taking two - 3 months for a packet to get processed and another is taking 9! having to wait 9 months before your application even gets looked at is kinda irritating.

  13. Just having a random thought.

Due to the backlog of cases at TSC, some applications are being transferred to CSC. Does anybody have an idea what transfer criteria’s are? I've read elsewhere it can be due to location of the applicant. My fiancé (Petitioner) lives in Tucson, AZ, between the two, what's the likelihood of the application being transferred?

If anybody has a Scooby doo, they can let me know. If not, then it's all good. This isn't the most important part of the process, just hope we get approved.

    Thanks

  14. Guess what? You can easily get a visa without Skype. None ever.

For the petition, USCIS wants documented:

    1) one person is a US citizen (his birth certificate or passport)

    2) each of you is free to marry (maybe divorce decrees), and intends to marry within 90 days of your entry on a K1 visa (two letters of intent -his, yours)

    3) you have met in person during the last two years.

So document your trips with passport stamps and boarding passes which will have you NAME on them and dates that correspond to the dates on the passport stamps. Maybe you have a credit card bill showing you made a purchase in his town on a date that corresponds with your trip itinerary. You guys have met four times and speak the same language so proving some kind of daily chatting doesn't really matter. There are people who met once for two weeks who do not speak the same language that may have more to prove. You are not one of those people. USCIS doesn't care if you talk about a wedding or if you changed your Facebook page to say "in a relationship". Focus on the three points above and add a few photos together.

At your interview in London, guess what? No proof required of being in love, engagement ring, photos together, Skype, love letters, more visits, etc. London does not want any of that. Really.

Ok well that's good then! He was stationed here for two years (AF) and spent last year together right up till he left so we loads of pics and a whole bunch of hotel receipts and everything form here and America, sounds like on the evidence front I'm golden! Thank you!

  15. When you say add it to the package he will receive what do you mean, from who??. Once it's approved it will go to NVC and then on to London. He will receive the approval notice., that about all, no package as such.

On the evidence topic, London require hardly anything so no need to bother with skype logs and all that stuff.

Just re reading and I am not sure where you are in the process, fill out your timeline and it will help people to help you.

I'm sending him stuff to mail off! I'm doing all the hard work you see. He's being a man of leisure. As soon as he gets the papers I'm sending, he's adding in his intent letter and the copies of pages of his passport (his mum has his birth certificate in NC) and sending them off as a package. That's what I meant by him adding to the package.

We haven't sent form and everything off yet that's why I haven't done my timeline, no point.

  16. Yes you want to have the biopage included. They actually say to copy the entire thing, but I just copied the biopage and the entry and exit stamp pages. I was visiting her in her country though.

Ohhhh Ok so I'll copy that tomorrow.

Off topic, obviously there's no way of knowing when I'll be in America so we haven't made any plans to marry except a courthouse wedding. We plan on doing the big shindig later on down the line. So we only have intent letters as evidence to marry and brief Skype chats about it. Will this be an issue?

You won't receive an RFE for that. Proof of relationship isn't really looked at during the petition stage, it will just be forwarded to the embassy once the petition is approved. Don't worry about your name or his name not being there. When I sent in chat logs of me and my fiancée, we were using our chat nicknames and not our real ones. No issue at all.

If you are using passport stamps as proof of meeting, you need to include the bio page of your passport.

Thank you, this is really helpful as I'm just nervous about the whole thing ?

  17. They don't really care about this type of evidence at the petition stage. The proving ongoing relationship comes during the interview. The photocopies of your passport proving meeting in person during the two years previous to filing is very important though.

Ok that's good because I've got the photocopy of the page of my four visits (once in September last year and 3 this year) in the package. Obviously you can't see the picture page, is it worth me photocopy that and emailing it to my fiancé so he can add it to the package when it gets to him?

  18. Wow so I've just realised something that may be a problem!

I'm the foreign fiancée and my US citizen fiancé is filing the I-129F. As he's almost useless with things like this I've photocopied and printed off all the evidence of us meeting and my flights to, America. Part of the evidence are Skype chats and iMessages. As I've taken the screen shots of both and printed them off, they don't say my name as the contact and say his instead. Obviously if he printed them off then my name would be up there. Is this really a problem, are we likely to receive an RFE? There are enough pictures of us in England and in America, so it shouldn't be a problem, no?

Please say I'm just being stupid!!!

    Thanks
