  1. An affidavit of support is not required when filing to remove conditions and obtain the 10 year card. You can file for ROC on your own if you are divorced. You will need to provide your divorce decree and evidence that you entered the marriage in good faith and that it was a bona fide relationship/marriage.   2. Hello, I discover this forum and would like to have advice.

    What happens if after having received a GC for two years, you discover that your husband is taking advantage of you, and abuse you mentally?

    If I divorce him then I lose everything and have to go back to my country? What are my protections so I can stay?

    Also, once a person is a joint sponsor, will I have to file again with them for the 10 year Green Card?
