First I want to say Congrats to all those who have received their NOA2s!! It's been awhile since I have posted!!

Well after patiently waiting for a while now...we finally got our NOA2, Friday April 21st:

    Snail Mail

NO Update on the USCIS website

    Notice Date: April 17, 2006

Those of you that haven't received a NOA2 yet, I know exactly where you're coming from. Don't get discouraged, that's why it's called a journey :P May sound clich`e...but you have to be patient, because you don't have control of the Service Center and the only thing you can do is trust them. Good Luck All!!

  2. WHeww..

Hello all!! First I want to say congratulations to everyone that have made it/been approved/etc... since my last post. :) It's been awhile since I have posted anything. We were waiting on our NOA2 to arrive after having to send additional evidence to the CSC back in March. I'm happy to announce that it FINALLY came in the mail today, April the 21st!! So it took a little while, but I guess that's why it's called a journey!! :P

I've been out of the loop for a little bit too...so...just wondering if there is anything "new" I need to watch out for or do next..just wait for the paperwork to get to Bangkok right??

I tried to explain it as clearly as I could to my beautiful Ploy, but I would really appreciate a helpful "volunteer Thai fiancee" to call my fiancee to explain to her what to expect next!! I really think that would help out!! Especially ones that have recently been through the process. Just let me know!! Thanks in advance!!!

Any other help / advice / words of wisdom is more than welcomed!! Thanks all!!

  3. Any one went though Bangkok, Please.

Can I do police and medical record before receiving the scheduled interview invitation or wait after receiving the invitation from the Embassy. How long the reports are good for? Please help.

We did the police and medical a few weeks before the interveiw. If I have time I will look at the paper work to look for dates. You will get some paper work from the US Consulot telling you about which Docs you can use.If you get the police report from the main station in BKK it is quik. You fill out the paper work they take finger prints and tell you to come back upto 2 weeks later. We got Yai's in 5 days.

    sarakong,

Just FYI...you may get more responses if you post in Sawasdee2...it is the "main" Thailand K1 and everything else Thai thread. Just letting you know...good luck!

  4. Blacson,

Based on the information that you give in your post, you demonstrated that your fiancee had been in Bahrain but did not demonstrate when she had been their - and that's the question that the RFE asks. Entry and exit stamps in her passport ought to address that issue. She's kept nothing else from her trip their that indicates the timing? No receipts or other documentation of the travel to and from?

    :crying:

    Damn it...so damn close..

I got a dreaded RFE. They said I need to provide more evidence that my fiancee was in Bahrain during the time we met. I sent a damn Good Conduct certificate from the Kingdom of Bahrain that is only issued to people that have lived there and provided her address and work address and phone numbers for when she was in Bahrain.

The only other thing I can send is a copy of her passport (which she got scanned and sent to me via email) I received that today. So I will send that back to California tomorrow.

Anyone else have any ideas??? I hate the thought that this petition could be disapproved if I can't come up with anyother evidence besides her Thai passport. ...

    Anyother help??? Comments??? Thanks!

Unfortunately thats all she has from her time in Bahrain. So I packaged up the copy of her passport, another copy of her Cert. of Good Conduct from Bahrain, and a copy of her Bahraini drivers license. I hope this does it. Keep your fingers crossed. Thanks everyone!

  5. Yeah, I'm in the Navy. Bahrain is the little tiny island country off to the side of Saudi. Right now I'm stationed in Charleston, SC

Yeah this RFE thing sux..I thought I had my bases covered.. then whamo.. Hopefully the passport will seal the deal then we can move on! Congrats to you btw..I was expecting to celebrate alongside with you since our cases were pretty close together!

  7. :D

I haven't posted anything in a while and just wanted to say congratulations to all of those who have been approved, reunited, etc. since the last time I posted.

As for me, the journey continues. Still waiting on a NOA2. Hopefully I'll see or hear something soon.

    Again congrats to everyone!!

    :D

  8. Oh yeah..

I'm throwing my 2 cents in...

Be thankful you do not have to go through the CSC!! If you would like...I will gladly trade your 30-45 days with my 3 + ??? months. Your time has just begun and its a very very reasonable one at that!! Read a book, drink some coffee...no reason for you to get all huffy. Everyone here wants to be with their loved one.
