Congrats! That's perfect, in 2/3 days you'll receive the Welcome notice and then your card
My I-485 status in USCIS website got updated to "card in production", as expected.. Pretty fast! Kudos to them...

We were missing one form and he gave us the form to file out in the waiting area, then we went back and he told us that he was going to approve it and that we should receive a notice. The interview was on the 4th and we got the notice in the mail today saying "welcome to the United States of America"
I don't know why he wants to review your case if your application isn't imcomplete...
Just came back from AoS interview. It was very simple & smooth. The officer said everything looks fine but will review our file to see if he had forgotten anything. Hopefully will hear our approval today itself.

Hi Guys!
Just wanted to let you know that we had the AOS interview this morning.
So it was in Newark NJ, Broad street federal building.
The appointment was at 8.45am we got there at 8.30. We had to go through security and it took at least 15 mins but the guys were very nice. They took my tweezers though
so don't bring anything like tweezers or clippers etc.
We checked in at the 14th floor at 9am, we had to wait for 2 hours as it was freezing. They finally called my name, we got in the office with the immigration Officer Mr Rodriguez.
He first asked for IDs, then a proof that we were living in Jersey City, I didn't bring any lease or utility bills as I thought that both our names should be on the bills (only my husbands name is on the bills but we have a joint account). Also we forgot to file out the G-325A form for my husband, I thought that it was only for me, so he told us to go back to the waiting area and then came back (after verifying that we were really living in JC) with the form for us to file out.
Then we started the real interview after this huge waste of time. At first he appeared very difficult and not nice but then he was the total opposite.
He first asked my husband: "How did you meet your wife? When? Was she married before? Does she have any kids from a previous marriage?"
Then he asked me: "was your husband married before? Any kids?" Then he asked the questions that are on the I-485 form such as "did you participate in any crime blablabla..." So you just have to say no.
He asked if I had any additional paper to give him, I gave him a copy of my EAD and showed him my job offer letter. He was impressed that I got a job that fast.
And then he said it was approved
He was very nice and fast.
Later in the afternoon I got an update on my case saying that my green card was on "production" and then another one saying that they mailed the notice.
A little advice, always look at your partner when he/she talks
Hope this helps, good luck to everyone else!
So happy to be done. Check my timeline for more info on my case!

I've been working since last Friday without my SSN, only with my EAD, when I applied last Friday they gave me a notification as a proof that I've applied for my SSN.
I'm calling tomorrow SSN to check where is my Card at, i'm really frustrated i applied to almost 50 companies and still nothing is this normal ?
to the guys who signed contract how did you do it ?
did you call the companies after applying or something ?
what am i doing wrong ?

Applied for my SSN last Friday got the card today
6 days with the weekend, not bad

Already got a job, started today! Thank you:)
Yaaaaay!! @Linaaliya.. goodluck in getting your drivers license and a job:)

Hi! So I applied this morning the lady was very nice, it took 10 mins, I gave my passport, EAD and marriage certificate (they make copies) and she gave me a letter as a proof that I applied to show to my employer. She said "you'll receive your card in a week".
They gave me a piece of paper that showed my SSN# that I could take to the DMV or my employer should they ask in the meantime. The piece of paper proofs that you were at the SSN office and you are just waiting to receive the actual card in the mail, which takes about a week( at least for me it did).
-
Do you think so? Because I'm gonna start working on Monday and I really need my SSN ASAP. So should I got tomorrow morning and at least try? I don't wanna waste any time. Thank you
You should of asked for their supervisor, because if you have your EAD then you're ready for your SSN
they just need sometime until they have your info from USCIS in their database

No just a letter with your receipt number your Alien number and the card, but no I-797 notice
Thanks! Is there anything in the envelope expect the card?
-
Hi! I never received any notice of approval for my EAD, when it went on "card production" I had to wait 5 days for them to mail my card, then got another update to tell me that it was delivered. Never received an update before with the tracking number, but it was fast anyway.
Can I ask a question please? Does the EAD / AP combo card come with an I-797 paper approval notice attached?

Received my EAD card today! Finally!!! So happy! Tomorrow I'll apply for a SSN. To everyone who wants to know more check my VJ timeline

I had the same update on July 30th and then that they mailed it yesterday
so no it's not gonna take 30 days lol
On August 6, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it won't really take 30 days right?

How did it go?
In a couple of hours, we have our interview. I'm nervous but confident at the same time. We hope everything goes well with us today!
-
I believe so yes! I'm not sure though. Did you file for AOS through marriage/family?
Thanks
Linaaliya, I heard not everyone attending a green card interview, is this correct? should maybe i get my cards both in the mail?
-
You have to refer to your receipt number, you should have 2 or 3 on your notice of action that you received before. It should be your employment card if you didn't have the interview for the green card yet. That means your employment card (EAD) is coming soon! Check your mailbox
Hi Everyone, i filled out my working authorization and green card at 23th of may, i went biometric interview, but today my case change to card production!! But only with one case?
Does anyone know what does it mean? My green card arriving? or such an just working authorization?
Thanks for answers

That's what they told me too, until I got a bit upset and told the guy that I had a job offer and he said "you know what I can ask for a service request" which he did asking for my email address and he gave me a receipt number. 3 days later I got an email saying that they needed proof of my pending job offer, and my future employer didn't want to write one for me (it's complicated) anyway a few days later my husband wrote me a "pending job offer letter" with a real company saying that I would be working with him, and I also wrote a cover letter saying that we had a financial loss etc. faxed everything in the morning, and then got an update on my case status saying that my card was in production. So I don't know if it was because of the letter or just because it was meant to be that day but I would try if I were you. I did after 70 days and I had no update on my case. Check my timeline
hope this helps. Also they don't check to see if it's real, they didn't even call him. Good luck!
Well it did no good calling USCIS, they told us to wait till August 19th which is the 90 day mark. Now it is past 75 days since NOA-1

got an update at 3pmJust curious as to what time of the day people are getting updates on when the EAD goes into production?
You'll be fine! Let me know if they keep the certified copy of your marriage certificate (the original) I feel like I have to ask for another one because they don't want a copy. Good luck!
Hello everyone,
I've been following this forum since early May. USCIS received my application on April 28. However, I did not get my "Notice of Action" until May 16 (I had to call them). Received my Bio-metrics letter on May 22. I did early walk in on May 23. On June 6, I received a yellow letter saying I forgot to sign my medical form. It said that I will receive a RFE or to bring it to the interview. July 3, I received an email saying that I'm scheduled for an interview on August 5. I also have my EAD which I received July 16.
I have my AOS interview tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous, but also confident that our testimony and documents will be enough for us to show that we are legit. We've been married 10 months today.
I have the following documents that we are bringing to the interview:
Originals:
The interview letter received
Both of our Birth Certificates
Marriage Certificate
IDs
My current Passport (Don't have the one with the Visa, only a copy. Hopefully not a big deal)
My i-94
Sealed Form i-693 Medical Examination
Supporting documents for our marriage:
2011-2013 Taxes
Work Letter from Human Resources
Last two Paycheck stubs
Bank statements
Car insurance
Health Insurance
Form stating I'm the beneficiary in case she would die (HR from work)
Comcast Bill, Credit Card statement
Pictures
Copy of our Previous Lease/termination letter and our new lease agreement
Copy of both our cars registered under our names
Copy of her SSN showing her new last name
Hoping for the best tomorrow. I will update to see how it goes. I'm going to San Jose, CA office.

Hi everyone. I wanted to update you all in case anyone else has a similar timeline as us. We received a text and an email that the EAD and AP cards are in production. Woo hoo... We are beyond excited!! I hope everyone else has good news soon!
We have similar timelines, received date May 14th, biometrics done July 1st, interview appointment September 4th and EAD is in production. Got the update today! So happy!
-
Grats!
I haven't had ANY news since May 27th ... We are on day 71 from filling, 64 from NOA and 43 from Biometrics .... According to VJ my EAD/AP should be approved around Aug 4-8.. We have a tip planned for September so I really hope we get the AP before that.
I always think I'm not taking enough things lol... hopefully it will go smoothly. X_x I don't even have an Interview date yet... I am getting ahead of myself! xD
Are you able to see your case status online or not? Only the receipt number for the I-485 is working but nothing about my EAD
I had the biometrics done on July 1st, they say it should be approved between July 29th and August 1st on my VJtimeline, I'm not sure about it though.

Interview was on the 4th, green card received on the 12th. For those who want to know how long it can take! It's been 4 months since I applied for AOS. Good luck to everyone else and be patient... I've never been so patient in my entire life!
