My wife and I recently moved states and it just hit me we probably need to change our address with uscis because the 2 years on her green card is almost up. Is there a paper to fill out or number to call? Thanks for the help!

My wife who has her green card would like to bring her mother from Romania to the United states to live with us. Is this a possibility? What is the process? Do we file an I-130? We appreciate any help.

Congratulations! I know I certainly won't have my interview waived because our situation was an AOS from VWP, so I'm pretty sure that's an automatic interview.
That is definitely not right, because they have to run a background check using the information they collect at biometrics. I also have my fingerprint on my card, so I imagine it's part of the process when the card is produced. Might be worth calling and checking up on this just to make sure as we can only speculate.
I thought it was strange as well. I thought maybe it could be since she had her biometrics done in London before she got here. I guess we will just have to see when we go next week for the appointment they gave us.
-
Hi Every one. I am a little confused. Last week we got a notice that my wifes biometrics appointment is for next Friday. Then today we got notices that her EAD was approved and that the Travel request was also approved. Is this normal? I thought this would have happened after the biometrics?
-
HI everyone. Just got our 3 NOA e-mails/texts. I am curious how long it takes to get the biometrics e-mail? We live on an island and its a bit of a pain to plan travels to the main land as its kind of expensive so we are hoping to plan a big trip out of it. Also do they generally do it in bigger city's? Im thinking we would have to go to Boston since we are in MA.

So when I sent my wifes AOS packet I accidently put her original Birth Certificate instead of a copy. Is it safe to say we wont be able to get it back or is there hope?
-
So I know you are supposed to fill out the I-485 in the married last name but I noticed that on our marriage certificate my wife signed with her given last name. Can she still fill out the paperwork with my last name or does she have to fill it out her own? Thanks for any help!

This whole courier thing is ridiculous. I don't see why they don't let you pick it up at the freaking embassy. My Fiancee got the tracking this morning. Went to go pick it up and they said she can't go get it till tomorrow morning. She has a 12 O'clock flight tomorrow. She pretty much has to get to Chancery Lane before they open and then high tail it to Heathrow with 3 bags hoping she makes it. This system makes no sense....
-
Same thing happened to us but I just called the London embassy a few days before and they sent it by e-mail.
-
Still not issued. So I went back and looked at marriage license requirements. Says a SSN is required. Huh? Scott won't have one yet. I'm really in a panic now
wish I knew what the update to our status was today
There should be an affidavit you can sign if you dont have a ssn atleast they have that in North Carolina where we are getting married.
-
Sorry about that. It was the 17th. Just entered it all.
-
Yea I am sure the courier is open longer then the embassy so thats why you might get the e-mail at a later time. I am assuming they send you one even if you planned on picking it up at one of the locations?

Issued today! She had a flight booked for Thursday and was scared she would miss it! Hope everyone else who is been waiting gets theres today! Seems like they are trying to make up for their error.

Ours went into A today. Her flights on the 2nd of july. Gonna be cutting it close :/

There are two types of ready. 1 where it is like it always has been before your interview where the original creation date is still there and says ready for your interview and it may change as far as the last updated date. Then there is ready where it changes to ready and the case creation date changes and it goes to non immigrant then from there it goes to AP then Issued. what date was your interview? Ours stayed in ready since April 8 until yesterday then it went to Ready but the second kind of ready
Ours was June 17th. Creation date still says April 21 2015 but Case Status Update says June 24 2015. Still says everything about the interview and Immigrant at the top.
-
I am so confused. Our Case Status Updated again today for the second day in a row however we have not been moved to AP yet. Still says Ready. I wonder what that's all about
-
Ok so I'm not sure what's going on now. My case creation date just changed to today and now it is non-immigrant. which Iknow they normally do that right before AP/Issue so we should get it issued in the next day or so. But that either means A they didn't mess up my date on mine but I doubt that honestly or B that London is back up and running. Which I think is the more likely of the situation. So hopefully that is good news for you guys too! I'll keep you posted.
Congrats! So your Creation date changed? Our Status update changed today but not the Creation date. Hopefully still means things are moving forward.

I am curious would NVC be able to tell us anything after the interview date? I just checked CEAC and it says there was an update today but it doesn't show that it is AP yet. I wonder what that could be?
-
We never even received a letter. I called the NVC when ever I saw an update and they told me when the interview was. Then the day before I called the embassy and they e-mailed my Fiancee the appointment letter.

Isn't your wedding the same as ours, the 11th? I'm not sure what to do.
Yup ours is the same day. I am confident that she will make it in time for that. I might be overly hopeful but I think we will be fine. It just pisses me off cause I have her ticket booked for next Friday and now its probably going to cost me $600 to change it
-
Ours was yesterday and it says the same Ready ^
-
Fiancee just got approved! Here is what they told her
"Congratulations you've been aproved,it will take 2 to 3 weeks to get your visa, you are aware we are having some technical issues ? "Yes" Well after that is resolved it will still take 2 to 3 weeks. " -
Oops wrong thread.

Our interview and approval was yesterday. James had a ticket booked for the 30th and our wedding was to be the 10th. He was told at the embassy that it would be 3-4 weeks or more and to not make plans.
Fortunately, James was able to cancel the flight with a refund. The wedding with family and friends is more than likely a no go, but at this point I just want him here.
This whole process has been one nightmare after another.
I am curious what airline? Did he say something to get a refund because I didn't think they did that?
After D-260 Approval?
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America

Hello all!
I was wondering after the D-260 has been approved and visa issued. Is there any other form that need to be filled out to receive the green card and social security number or do you just wait for them to be delivered?
Thank you for the help!
