  1. I am assuming this is for the London embassy. Our appointment was at 8 AM and at 7:45 they had a separate queue for those with appointments at 9 and after. So, if you arrive earlier, you will queue but will also ensure a spot in the front of the line at your appointment time. We were there a total of 90 minutes (arrived 7:45 AM, left embassy at 9:15) for a CR1 visa interview (which was approved!).

    One caution: We indicated that I would accompany my spouse on the readiness form but I was not on the list so I ended up having to wait at Starbuck's nearby. My husband was well prepared so I would have been there more for moral support but if you want your partner with you make sure to remind them via a follow up email after you send your readiness form.
