  1. Thanks, I was just wondering what everyone got. In my packet 3 letters it gives me a step by step instruction to fill the DS-160 and how to make the payment. It also gives instructions on how and where to get the medical exam done. Once he does the medical exam, he will receive a sealed envelope to bring to the interview. The only documents It requested are : six passport pictures and my fiance birth certificate(original and copy) and 2 documentation submission page. I just talked to someone there, they said that whatever it says to bring , that is all I need to bring and any other needed documents he will bring to the interview. I was thinking that they were going to require more documents such as the affidavit of support, proof o relationship... I guess I will have him bring these documents to interview.[/quote

what are the 2 submission pages?

  2. My file has been received in Haiti. I would like to know if I will be getting package 3 or will my Fiance in Haiti be getting package 3. Please help. Any Info will give me some relief.

  3. You are applying for the K-1 visa so the process is a little different than Stressed Out was talking about. You should receive a letter in the mail (both you and your fiance) explaining the next steps. The USC may also receive a letter from the NVC stating that they've processed your application and sent it to the Haitian Embassy. If you have your case number you can probably go to ustraveldocs.com and create an account. You should also be getting together your affidavit of support and the supporting documents as well as evidence of a continuing relationship. Revisit the K-1 guide and it will give you a couple ideas for things to send / do during this time.

How long should it take to get the letter from the time it says READY??

  4. It means you can start submitting documents to them that are required for the interview. You should be getting a letter from them soon that has your case number on paper. If you already know your case number you could technically already submit your visa application through CEAC online.

Will I get more instructions in the letter? I'm so confused.

  5. Hello Guys. NVC received my file yesterday. Today they gave me a case number. Can somebody please tell ne what to do now? Or whats the next step?

I called NVC this am an after staying on hold almost 45 minutes I found out our case have not arrived yet. she stated it normally takes 5 weeks from NOA2 notice date. So not sure if my fiance will make the it here for christmas especially if the medical an interview dates are slow as well.

5 weeks is alot of time. Mine took 17 days. 5 weeks 8s torture.

  6. I just wanted to let you guys know...I got my letter in the mail from the nvc yesterday. They received my petition on oct 1. I checked the status today & it's "ready". Unfortunately, we can't do anything until Matt has his passport. His interview for that is in two weeks, so I'm hoping he can schedule his medical for the second week in November. As soon as he has his passport, he's filling out everything else. Fingers crossed for a November interview!

Hey Honey how long was it from the NOA2 until you got the letter from NVC. Can you be exact please. Loll the timeline gets me all confused.

  7. congratulations for your approval, you will find here everything you want. hop that will help

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): 1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well). 2. Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance(e) to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well). 3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F). 4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all. 5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

    (A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance

    (B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)

© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern

    (D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. See this FAQ for more tips and useful information on the Affidavit of Support Form. 6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. (backup information; the embassy will have copies of this as well) 7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, online chat logs (pick several over the prior few months), etc.. from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 until date-now).

Examples: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate emails and letters you have sent including the stamps on envelopes (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

I will need a co sponser because I dont make enough money but does she need to be a US Citizen to give me support?
