  1. Hi everyone I am asking for your advice. We have not heard anything yet from my husbands AOS (received EAD few weeks ago) . We plan on traveling out of the country in December but I feel he won't have the green card by then/ability to do so. My lawyer did not want us to apply for AP because she said we needed a specific reason....which I see isn't the case and that it looks like basically everyone becomes approved. Do you guys think I should apply for APnow.. also what do I put for reason? Thanks guys.. I'm excited for everyone that has had their AOS interview and been approved.

    Also...anyone in. Connecticut?

We applied for our AP with our EAD & AOS because we had planned our honeymoon. We used our out-of-country honeymoon as a valid reason. Along with the request to travel back to the Netherlands for a trip to visit family.

    I hope this helps!

  2. Ok so my green card status did say as on April 23rd my case is ready to be scheduled a for a interview but I just checked it and it now says as of 4th July your case is ready to be scheduled for a interview.does this mean anything at all?

We just received our EAD & AP approval (still waiting on the card to arrive). While we received the approval letter, the website has not been updated.

Our AOS status on the USCIS website also had the date of April 23 stating our case was ready to be scheduled for an interview. I just was checking the status and it has also stated that as of July 4th, our case is ready to be scheduled.

Hopefullly this means it has been placed on a desk of the person who will actually be doing the scheduling! Fingers crossed!

  3. Still waiting for our EAD! It's been frustrating. According to our timeline, the EAD should have arrived the first week of June.

We called the office to follow-up and they put a note in our file that it was reaching federal timelines and said we should hear from someone in 30-45 days. UGH!!!!!! The bio appointment went wonderful, I just wonder why the EAD is taking so long. It was submitted in mid-March!

    Any other suggestions?

  4. We submitted our AOS package and it was received on March 19, 2015. Package included EAD and AP. Fiance's BIO appointment was on April 14th.

We have been "waiting to be scheduled for an AOS interview" for almost two months now.

But what is really frustrating is the pending EAD!!!! We called on Friday, since the "timeline" had passed. They told us it was close to exceed the federal guidance timeline and that we should hear from someone within 30 days. 30 DAYS!!! Ugh. Not helpful.

  5. We randomly checked the USCIS case status on my husband's Adjustment of Status (AOS) applicaiton, which was submitted mid-March. It states the "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". It's exciting to see a change in the status.

Our question is how long does it usually take to hear when the interview will take place?

Have people had to wait months and months to receive notice of when their scheduled interview will take place? Or have you had to wait months for the case to even be ready for an interivew?

While it is fun to run to the mailbox everday in anticipation of a letter, we would like remain realistic. :) ...and there is only so much information you can gather from the processing times...

    Thank you!

  7. We are having a smiliary issue. We were told by the local Seatlte office that my fiance would receive his within 4 weeks. It's been 4 weeks and nothing. The 1-800 social security number stated they had no record of his request.

We called homeland immigration/security and they are going to help lookup the information to see where he is in the system.

    So frustrating

  8. My fiance in the Netherlands is having a very tough time getting his army medical records (for record of vaccines) from the Dutch Army. They seem extremely unorganized and can't give a straight answer. It's been over a month and it's actually taken longer to get these medical records than it took for our NOA2 to arrive and for the paperwork to be sent to the Embassy in Amsterdam.

Any suggestions? Several formal written requests have been made along with many phone calls. Is there any way to get around this?

I never would have thought that this would be what would hold up our visa process.

    We are both extremely frustrated.

    Thank you!
